Jared
"Hey!" the werewolves run after me.
Dammit, the witch's forest is sealed by their magic.
"Get him!"
I continue running.
I can't believe that they're this determined to catch me. I mean look, I am a furry creature like you. I look a bit different though.
I look around the cliff village.
Where's George?
When Saber brings George to the forest I cannot, that's why I walk around the village instead.
I stare at the bonfire, where those furry creatures are celebrating.
Saber's victory, huh?
Right, I guess I should join them. I might see George there.
On the other side of this celebration, George's mother is there in the forest. I heard she's not allowed to go outside. Is she tortured? What about her magic?
How did she become a witch though? Is she a half-blood too? A gifted?
Does that make George a witch as well?
I walk down the stairs. I am still in awe of how they thought of this cliff village concept. It's a bit risky but the foundation is very sturdy.
Maybe we should apply this to our place.
We don't have a cliff, though.
I feel my body slowly getting weak. Maybe because I'm drinking less blood than my regular intake.
Damn it, where in the world is Joaquin? I need blood. I'm running out of supplies.
I walk down the wooden staircase.
Joaquin.
He's the only one who knows where I am, what I am doing, where I am hiding, and how I am hiding.
Well, I'm kind of used to this disguise now.
A bit smaller than I do.
I jump from the second to the last step of the staircase.
I am lighter than I am. Which is great if I have to run away or hide when werewolves approach me.
Hide.
Again.
It's been more than a month now. More than a month of hiding again.
If only I had my people, but I am labeled as a traitor there. The people who admired me before turned their backs now. Before, I don't want to step outside because they love me too much. But now, I don't want to be seen outside because they hate me so much. Different rumors spread quicker than grassfire across our city, like gossip about a celebrity.
The Vampire who helped the enemy.
The Vampire seduced by the enemy.
The Vampire who fell in love with the enemy.
The stupid vampire prince.
They even thought I was hypnotized or something.
I saved the person who was a threat to us.
Who in the right mind will do that?
"She's already in your arms! Yet, you passed her to those werewolves!" I remember how my father yells. He coughs and holds his chest.
"Dad," I try to help him. But his guards hold my wrists and stop me from walking to him. "What are you doing!?" I grunt and try to pull my arms. "Am I not allowed to help my father now!?"
"You could've helped not only me but us if you just did your job properly!" he yells with all his strength.
"You will be punished," he says.
"Do not force yourself into this," his brother says and helps him sit down.
"By Joaquin," my father says.
Joaquin's gaze met mine. Both of us were confused.
"I'm sorry, Your Highness, but I cannot do that," Joaquin intervened.
"Are you refusing to follow me? The king of the vampires?" my father growls.
I look at Joaquin and give him a nod to tell him everything is fine.
"If you can't punish your own son, you think I can?" Joaquin bravely says.
"You!" my father snarls and walks to my friend. "You dare to disobey me!?" he grips Joaquin's neck.
Dammit, I curse in my head when I trip over a small rock.
"Oh," I hear a female voice. "Hey. There you go," a female werewolf helps me to stand up. She gives me a smile and pats my forehead.
I walk to the house where George is staying.
George?
I furrow my eyebrows and look around. The house is messy. George's uniform is on the floor. Her fur cape is dangling on the bed.
She's still not here.
I sniff and try to find her scent. It's not that strong she was not here for so long.
Where did she go?
Maybe I shouldn't go outside after they went back to the witch's forest.
I walk to the open field where the werewolves are dancing and celebrating. My gaze follows the three werewolves, Saber, Cayden, and Clarkson.
They must know where George is.
I run to them.
Dammit, If only I have longer legs.
I sigh.
"I told you to find her," I hear someone say as I pass by them.
"Yes, Dranula, Sir. We'll be asking Liev about her."
I paused and looked up.
Dranula.
They're also looking for her.
George, hang in there. We'll finish this fight together. We'll help you through this.
"Find Liev," the other werewolf replies.
I continue to run when I found them. The silhouette of the three siblings are getting further and further.
Damn, these short legs. I accidentally bump into one of the werewolves.
Sorry.
I gasp for air when I finally see the three of them.
"I knew it!" Saber exclaims. "My car is missing too."
"She stole your car and left," Cayden says.
They are looking at an empty space, far from the celebration. I saw marks of car wheels going towards the entrance of the village.
The two continue to fight.
"Why did you leave her!?" Saber grunts.
"Uhm... We are visiting our parents? Cayden sarcastically says. "How did she have your keys?" Cayden fires back and raises an eyebrow.
"I. Don't. Know. Maybe when we get back here? Or did she wait for me to put my keys on the table?"
"Do not call her," Saber warns and quickly faces Clarkson. He continues to look for something, his car probably.
Which is obviously not there.
"We should not let her know that we already knew she's not here," Saber continues.
They really don't know she's not here?
Wow. Good job, Clarkson.
I roll my eyes and shake my head.
"But," Clarkson shows his phone to them.
'Alpha George'
"Hello?" George's voice answers.
"Nevigera," Saber mutter.
"Hey," Clarkson awkwardly answers.
"H-Hey," I hear George's voice over his phone.
I exhale deeply. I've been looking for her this whole time. I'm glad she's fine. I never thought she'd steal someone else's car and go out.
"I just missed you so much. I haven't seen you in a day," Clarkson nervously says.
My mouth gapes open and my eyebrows rise.
What the...
"Oh-" she hesitantly speaks.
"That's all," he cuts her words and ends the call.
I sit on the ground as I watch them.
"She's in her apartment," Clarkson says.
I made a face, still not over on how he lightly blushed when he heard her voice.
She's in her apartment, I mock his words in my head.
I swear if I'm only allowed to go back to my original body.
"Right..." Cayden says still giving Clarkson a judging stare.
The three walk back to the open field. Clarkson's gaze lands on mine.
Okay. Cue role-playing, Dmitri.
Clarkson yells at me, "Tuna, where have you been!"
I gulp.
"Meow?" I reply.

The moment of truth. I enjoyed every assumption you made with Mr. Tuna.
