"Uh, I need to pee!" was the first thing that came out of my mouth. Great, now they probably think they gave birth to a weird human being. I mean, who says 'I need to pee' when they meet their birth parents for the first time?! Apparently I do!
"You need to pee?" Parker questioned giving me a look that was basically asking me 'what are you doing?!' I return a pointed glared and nodded.
"Yes. Yes I do." I replied defiantly
"Alright. Go ahead" he shrugged raising an eyebrow and I threw off the covers and rushed to the bathroom leaving two nervous confused people at the door.
I walked to the sink and looked at my reflection in the mirror above it. The girl staring back at me was pale, had a swollen black and blue nose, and held fear in her eyes. I admit, that.... I'm scared. Scared, that if I get too close to these people they might get hurt. I mean, rouges were willing to attack a whole pack of wolves to capture the white wolf. What would they do if they found out that Im here, still alive? They might kill these people and I would rather die than to have someones death on my hands. But then again, how can I let this opportunity go to waste? So many people dream of meeting their birth parents and here I am letting this go to waste. I dont want to be ungrateful.
I took a deep breath and rinsed my face with some ice cold water. Feeling refreshed, I finalized my decision. Life's all about taking risks, right? So, why not? Im gonna get to know my parents and my...brother. I grimaced as I thought about Ryan. He really is an ass.
I turned around and opened the door, revealing my parents sitting on the edge of the bed and Parker sitting on the couch. They were laughing about something but when I exited the bathroom everyone became silent. You could've heard a pin drop!
"What did I miss?" I chuckled and took a seat next to Parker on the couch
"Nothing, much" Parker smiled
"How was your urination?" He grinned and I glared
"Fine" I gritted out
"I guess, small bladders run throughout the family right?" I laughed at my own joke causing Parker to shake his head.
"No, but bad jokes probably do" he smirked and I rolled my eyes. Everything settled in an awkward silence until Parker finally broke it.
"Im just gonna go. The awkwardness is suffocating me" Parker announced and practically ran to the door leaving my parents and I alone.
"So" my birth mom and I said at the same time
"You first" I encouraged and she smiled
"Your mate seems nice" she grins at me and I grimace slightly
"Yes. He was also my supposed brother for most of my life" I chuckled and my dad made a face of confusion
"You mean he's-Savannah's-oh dear" he says out loud trying to comprehend it
"Oh my goddess. That is such a coincidence!" my mother exclaimed and I shrugged
"Well. Lets talk about you" my dad interrupted and I couldn't be happier. I did not want to talk about Parker for much longer.
"Alright" I nodded
"Whats your name?" my mother asked
"Avery Maxwell" I raised an eyebrow
"Oh" my mom said and I detected a trace of sadness in her tone
"Whats wrong?" I asked
"Well, when your mother gave you to Savannah she never got to tell Savannah what we had named you. So I guess Savannah had given you a name of her own making" my father explained making me curious.
"So whats my real name?" I inquired
"Chloe Holloway" my mom spoke up with a soft smile
"Chloe Holloway" I tried testing the foreign name on my tongue
"Do you like it? I mean we can always get it changed on your birth certificate but-" My dad started to stutter but I cut him off.
"Its fine. Ill use that name around here but with my friends and stuff Ill use my....other name" I reasoned and my mothers face had a look of surprise.
"Friends?" she questioned and I nodded feebly
"Um, yeah sorry. I just bought a few friends" I said nervously. I hoped it wouldn't be a problem.
"Great! I can't wait to meet them!" she exclaimed and I grinned. Yay! It wasn't a problem after all!
"No problem" I replied and she nodded
"So, did you make any new friends here yet?" my dad asked and I nodded
"Uh, I'm friends with this girl named Jenna. I also know a girl named Kat"
"Ah! Jenna! She's Beta Clay's daughter". Oh, and Kat! She is Leo's daughter. Leo is the third in command" my father explained and I nodded in understanding.
First is the Alpha, then the Beta, and then the Third in command .There was also the omega. The omegas are the lowest of low in the pack.
The lead warrior, takes his/her orders directly from the alpha, and sometimes the beta. They are the main leader, general, or captain of the warriors in the pack. The warriors are the guardians and protectors of the pack. The warriors will roam the pack lands ensuring its safety. They are the ones that will keep watch at night.
The scouts are the scavengers of the pack. They will hunt small creatures and will help survey the land with the warriors.The lead scout is the leader of the scouts.
There are also subordinates, these are the non-ranked members of the pack. They will still participate in fighting and hunting though. Lastly, there are the pups.
"Um, have you met Ryan yet?" my mom asked nervously
"Unfortunately, yes" I laughed and my mom grimaced
"Is he still that bad?" my dad asks
"Hes absolutely horrific! His mate is one of my best friends that I brought with me" I said and my mom gasped
"Ryan has found his mate?! Oh god, hes going to be taking over the Alpha position sooner than we thought Brendan!" my mom exclaimed but directed her last sentence to her mate/husband.
"Yes. It appears so" he nodded
"I wouldn't be so sure. He totally rejected her and she is in no mood for forgiveness" I butted in thier converstion
"WHAT?!" they yelled simultaneously

"I don't understand how you can do something like this!" my dad roared at Ryan
"I dont get what the big problem is " Ryan said casually throwing the basketball back at me.
"The big problem is that you rejected your mate and this pack's FUTURE LUNA!" dad said furiously and I tossed the ball back to Ryan.
"Ryan. Honey, you need to understand that this is very important to the pack. Every pack needs to have a Luna" my mom said sweetly and Ryan rolled his eyes whilst tossing the ball back to me.
"Alright! I understand that but I'm not ready for a commit right now. There are many other fish in the sea" Ryan shrugged and I threw the ball at him a little harder this time because he was acting like an idiot now.
"Ryan! You need to be more serious if you're going to be this pack's Alpha! " dad yelled and Ryan pursed his lips and threw the ball back to me.
When I told my mom and dad that Ryan rejected Meg, they immediately stormed up to his room where he was laying on his couch and throwing a basketball in the air and catching it. I was going to leave until my mom pulled me to Ryan's room also, so I was stuck here. While Ryan and our parents were arguing , Ryan and I were also tossing the basketball back and forth because, I just guess that we were both really bored.
"I dont need my mate to be a good Alpha" Ryan declared and my mom rolled her eyes
"Of course you do! The Luna cares for the pack and Alpha. They rule together" My mom explained putting emphasis on the word 'together' and Ryan scoffed before I threw the ball back to him.
"Please. Cooking dinner and making pups hardly defines as ruling the pack" Ryan remarks and mom gasped as he threw the ball back at me. I set the ball down on the ground and stood up.
"Is that what you think women are meant to do? Please, we can do as much stuff as you can do, if not better! You have no right to talk like that" I said furiously and Ryan stood up
"Really?" he said in a flat tone giving me a bored look
"Yes! Like what is your problem?!" I yelled. This kid's seriously has some issues. I mean, I sounded serious, who did he think I was?
"Nothing. I would just like everyone to get off my back about this. Its my decision and maybe I'll change my mind but right now I'm not." Ryan said and stormed out of his own room.
"Whats his problem?" I asked
"Well, Ryan was dating this girl. They were in love. Very much in love. So one day, they vowed to each other that if they ever find their mates, they would reject them and still be together. Then the girl found her mate and broke their vow. I believe Ryan's still in love with her, either that, or he has trusting problems now" my dad explained
