- Avery's POV -
"Members of the Silver Blood and Blue Moon packs, I greet you all. I know many of you disagree with Alpha Parker's and my decision to combine packs but I must remind you that we are the Alphas and we are in charge. Please, try your best to embrace our decision. Thank you" Ryan spoke in front of both packs. One month, lots of paperwork, and arguments later, the Silver Blood and the Blue Moon packs combined. Parker and Ryan were both the Alphas of the pack and they worked together, minus the occasional conflict.
Today was the joining party. They decided to throw some sort of party and invited every member of the Silver Blood and the Blue Moon packs. I look over to my left to see Jenna and Nate walking my way. They were now able to see eachother more often since a new pack house is being built in the middle of our two territories. Since the Silver Blood pack didn't even have a pack house all the houses stayed the same. The Blue Moon pack was currently demolishing their old pack house and they were all going to move into the new one being built. Nate happened to live 5 minutes away from the new pack house so Jenna and Nate are under really good circumstances.
"Hey Avery." Nate smiled and rested his arm around Jenna's shoulders.
"Hey guys" I reply
"Do you know when Parker is gonna make the announcement?" Jenna asks and right at that moment Parker calls everyone's attention to him
"I guess right now" I whisper and she chuckles
"Ahem, can I have your attention?" Parker states and everyone immediately quiets down. He looks at me before he continues and I give him a small smile.
"As, many of you heard. I have found my mate. Now I just wanted to clear some confusion that some of you might have. Avery is my mate. I'm sure you're thinking, isn't she my sister? Well, I can assure you that she is not. We figured out that she is actually Alpha Brendan and Luna Savannah's daughter and Alpha Ryan's sister. I love Avery and I expect everyone to treat her with respect. On one final note, we have decided what our new pack name will be. Everyone here is now in...the Silver Moon pack!" he smiles as everyone applauds and quickly walks over to me
"Are you happy now?" He whispers by my ear and I chuckle
"Very" I leave a light peck on his cheek before grabbing his hand and walking towards Hunty and Scar.
"Why does that sweater look so familiar?" I ask as I look closer at the purple sweater Hunter was wearing. It was purple and made him look like an eggplant...if that made sense.
"It was the same sweater I wore the first day I saw Scarlet." He grinned and I gasp in realization
"Oh yeah. Aw, it felt like just yesterday you were disobeying me in the lunchroom" I smirk
"Good times" he sighed and pulled me into a hug
"I can't believe you guys actually managed to finish high school" Scar chuckles and I laugh
"I know it's such a surprise" I reply
"Congrats!" Meg yelled as she enveloped me into a hug from behind
"Please don't kill me" I choked and she let go
"Sorry. I'm just so happy. We're gonna be Luna's together" she squeals and I laugh
"I'm excited too. I can't wait." I grinned
"It just sucks you guys can't go to werewolf college" Madds interrupts coming into the conversation
"I know" I whined.
Werewolf college is just like human collge, except only werewolves can attend. But, if you're a Luna, Alpha, mother or father werewolf you can't go. Hunter, Madds and Jenna are going to werewolf college and Scar and Nate are going to a human college not too far from there. Meg, Ryan, Parker and I can't go because we have to stay and take care of the pack since were are Lunas and Alphas.
"When are you guys leaving?" I ask out loud and notice Jenna and Nate joined our conversation
"Two weeks" Jenna answers
"And when is Nate and Scar leaving?" Parker says as he pulls me closer to him. I sigh in relief when I smell his scent. it always makes me feel better.
"One week" Nate answers and I notice that he squeezes Jenna's hand when her face dropped.
"At least we will see you guys on holidays" Ryan tried to cheer everyone up but it didn't work very well.
"Let's make the best of the time you guys have left here" Meg said giving into her mate's efforts and Hunter smiles
"Yeah" I agree and force a grin but as I look over to Hunter he gives me a look.
"Uh Avery can I talk to you for a minute?" Hunter says and I nod confused as I follow him away from the group. Far away....I guess he doesn't want any werewolves to hear us.
"What's up?" I ask and he pulls out a small box from his jacket pocket and opens it to reveal the most beautiful diamond ring I've ever seen. Wow.
"Uh...the ring is beautiful and all but, don't you think you should be giving it to someone else?" I chuckle and he rolls his eyes
"I'm not giving it to you, you fucker. I'm giving it to Scarlett" he grins as he mentions her name and I feel stupid
"Oh. Right" I laugh it off
"But don't you think you both are a little too young. I mean she's a human, what will her parents think!" I exclaim and he sighs
"If there is one thing I learned from your relationship with Parker, it's that anything can happen. People can get hurt or sick. Well, and I love Scarlett. She's gonna be leaving in a week and we are going to different colleges. I want to be with her forever and I know I will be. So why wait to make it final?" He says as he looks like he is in a daydream.
"If you feel likes its the right thing to do, then go for it! You guys are great together, I'm sure she'll say yes. But, I have one question....why did you tell me instead of Jenna or Parker or Meg?" I asked
"You are the most open minded and you have a crazy relationship. I knew that you wouldn't tell me all the possibilities that could go wrong instead you would give me courage" He smiled
"Aw" I grin and hug him tightly
"I cant believe your going to be engaged" I squealed
"Trust me, I can't either" I says more to himself than to me as we walk back
"Wait. Where and when are you gonna do it?" I stop
"Now" he says as he walks faster and I'm frozen in confusion
"What do you mean now?!" I yell as I start running after him
Everyone is looking as us when we come back. By everyone, I mean everyone in our group.
"Scarlett" Hunty says as he rushes to her and grabs her hands. I just stare along with everyone else. A warm hand wraps around my shoulders and tingles raise on my skin.
"What's going on?" Parker's minty hot breath washes on my ear giving me goosebumps
"You'll see" I smile as I continue to watch.
"Yeah?" Scar says as Hunter holds her hands and repeatedly says her name
"You've been with me through thick and thin. We met in a lunchroom and it was on that day I knew I had fallen in love. My heart had been taken and I had no intention of taking it back. Scarlett you can have my heart forever but the question is can I have yours?" He says as he looks into her eyes. He chooses this moment to get down on his knee and pull out the ring.
"Your heart is beating so fast" Parker smiles down at me
"So is yours" I reply
"That's because I'm imagining myself doing that to you." He smirks and I feel my cheeks get hot as I look away from his taunting stare.
"Even though we are young and we have so much change to go through in our life, I know my love for you will never change. Scarlett Azure, will do make me the luckiest man in the world by marrying me?" he ends, by opening the box and showing the ring to Scar. Now, Scarlett was full on weeping and covering her mouth in surprise. After taking a deep breath, she squated down.
"Hell yes" she whispered before pulling Hunter to her and giving him a long sweet tear filled kiss on the lips.
"I expect my proposal to be like that" Meg whispered to Ryan who looked like a fish out of water
"You sure move fast Meg" he chuckles and she giggles before leaning in for a kiss
Everyone at the party had stopped what they were doing to look at the proposal, that's what werewolf hearing will do to you.
"Lemme see!" Jenna squealed as Scar rushed over to us and Hunter did one of those guy hugs with Nate.
"It's so beautiful!" Meg gasped
"Congrats Scarlett" I say and she smiled
"Thanks Av"
"Hey, look who's coming" Parker said to me and I looked in front of me.
"Avie!" Mickey yelled as he ran into my legs
"Mickey!" I yelled back and lifted him up
"Did you like playing with Noah?" I asked. Noah was Parker's Beta.
"Yeah he's funny" Mickey smiled
"Funnier than me?" Parker fake pouted
"No one is funnier than my daddy" Mickey said then covered his mouth and Parker's eyes widened while my jaw dropped.
"Sorry. I didn't mean to" Mickey frowned and I smiled as Parker tried to push Mickey's lips up back into a smile making Mickey giggle.
"You don't need to be sorry Mickey. I was just surprised.It felt nice to hear you say that. You could call me that because I am, your dad, I mean." Parker grinned
"Really?!" Mickey gasps and I along with Parker smiled.
"Well in that case...I love you daddy and mommy" Mickey says as he kisses my cheek and then tells me to put him down before hugging Parker. Scar calls him over to her and the others and he runs over.
"So daddy was sort of like his first word, huh?" Parker smirks
"What do you mean?" I ask
"Well a baby usually says mommy or daddy as their first word so it was sort of like daddy was his first word" Parker explains
"Just face it he loves me more" Parker smirks and I scoff
"Of course he doesn't" I purse my lips
"Its ok. Maybe our second child's first word will be mommy" he smirks
"Yeah I guess...wait..what, second child? Excuse me?" I laugh as he runs away and hides behind Mickey
I couldn't be happier with where my life is right now. I have a loving, funny and sometimes stupid mate, I have Mickey, the greatest gift anyone could have ever given me and I have the most amazing friends. More still awaits me but right now, in this moment, I have everything I could've ever asked for and to think, it all started out with me asking if my brother's my mate...
(AN: Sorry for not updating in sooooo long. I just had a lot of school work and I was busy most of the time. I hope you guys enjoyed because this was the LAST CHAPTER of this book. Sorry for any spelling or grammar mistakes.
