Chapter 1105
However, Valencia did not believe Averyâs explanation.
Even if it was the result of a scheme, Averyâs reputation was in the dirt, and the Harts could not accept
such a woman into the family.
âAs for Vicky Shawâ¦â Valencia thought. âSheâll never be a part of this family unless I die.1
Lincoln did not seem surprised and smiled. âSince Miss Yeager has come all the way to see me, it
seems inappropriate to chase her away. Letâs meet and cancel the engagement officially.â
Valencia scowled. âBut she used to be all over you. Will she agree to call off the engagement?â
Lincoln chuckled. âShe will.â
One day, Aurora had nothing better to do and came to visit Vicky once again. The Harts assumed that
Aurora was
Tylerâs fiance and did not make any effort to stop her from entering.
After receiving the servantâs notification, Vicky had just come downstairs when she was greeted by
Auroraâs warm embrace.
âVicky, longtime no see. Iâve missed you so much,â Aurora said with enthusiasm.
Vicky still felt somewhat uncomfortable with Auroraâs attitude toward her and took a few steps back.
âMiss Starling, do you have something to discuss with me?â
Aurora knew that her collaboration with Tyler had caused great harm to Vicky and that it could not be
forgotten overnight, so she did not mind Vickyâs attitude and replied,â Can you accompany me for a
walk?â
Vicky pondered for a few seconds and nodded gently.
The two of them walked to the garden, and Aurora glanced at Vicky before asking in a soft voice,
âVicky, have youâ¦been arguing with Tyler recently?â
Vicky was taken aback. âWhat makes you say that?â
âI guess you really did fight.â Aurora frowned. âItâs no wonder that he looked like someone stole a lot of
money from him when I ran into him a few days back. I guessed right; you two mustâve fought. What
happened? Did you give him the cold shoulder?â
Upon hearing this, Vicky let out a cold laugh. âHis childishness caused it.â
Aurora agreed. âI do think that he is quite childish.â
Aurora never truly understood Tylerâs actions and found them pointless as though Tyler was actively
looking for trouble.
Vicky looked at Aurora in surprise.
Aurora read the look in Vickyâs eyes and asked, âWhat? Do you think I came to see you today to plead
for your forgiveness on Tylerâs behalf?â
âIsnât that why youâre here?â
âIâd never plead for him,â said Aurora. She had been done with Tyler for a long time and would love to
see him fail.
She could not cause Tyler to fail herself, but Vicky could, and seeing Tyler unhappy would be quite
satisfying.
Aurora was about to continue speaking when Vicky suddenly stopped in her tracks.
Confused, Aurora glanced at her and followed her gaze before freezing at the sight before her.
