Chapter 1181
âThere are no issues with the incoming and outgoing transactions in my bank account, so why is there
an anomaly?â Vicky asked.
âThere can be many reasons for anomalies: Frequent spending within the same time frame,
transactions occurring when you havenât made any purchases, or your account being targeted by
criminals with your personal information being compromised,â the bank teller patiently explained. âTo
ensure the security of our customerâs assets, the system automatically locks risky accounts. Miss
Shaw, you donât have to worry. Once the risk is resolved, we will inform you via phone call.â
Vicky often received scam calls and harassing messages, and she thought that her account information
might have been compromised, so she had no choice but to freeze that particular card.
Fortunately, she never put all her eggs in one basket and had other bank cards she could use.
To her surprise, when she tried using her other bank cards, she found that they were all frozen,
including her credit cards. Even the spare change stored in her mobile phone application was flagged
as a risk and could not be used.
At this point, even a fool could tell what was happening, and Vicky realized that someone was
deliberately targeting her. Not needing to think too hard about it, she knew this was all Tyler. No one
else had the power to do such a thing.
Vicky could not believe that Tyler would go to such lengths to haunt her. Setting aside the truth of
whether or not she plotted against him, she could never force him into doing anything even if she
wanted to, yet he had taken advantage of her and wanted to eliminate her!
Sitting in front of the computer, Vicky took several deep breaths to calm herself.
She could no longer rest at home, but she could not go to work either because it would inevitably drag
the innocent companies into the mess.
After much contemplation, Vicky decided to work from home and sell her fashion design sketches.
Selling the design sketches meant giving up ownership, and she would not be associated with the
designs anymore.
Even if the other party used the sketches and won awards with them, they would have nothing to do
with her.
Not many people would be willing to treat their creations in such a way except for some new designers,
but Vicky had no other choice. She did not have much cash left, and if she did not start earning money
soon, she would starve.
Vickyâs design sketches were unique, and shortly after putting them up online, someone contacted her
and asked for more details.
After exchanging numbers, Vicky sent a few more conceptual sketches to the person. Without much
consideration, they immediately decided to purchase them.â Iâll take this design sketch. Iâll transfer the
money to you shortly.â
Vicky was thrilled. âGreat.â
Half an hour later, there was no further update, and just as Vicky was about to ask her client about it,
she received another text message.
[Miss Shaw, Iâm sorry, but Iâm afraid I wonât be able to purchase your design.]
[Why?] Vicky replied.
The client seemed unwilling to disclose too much detail. [ Something unexpected happened. Iâm really
sorry.]
Vicky was disappointed but replied regardless. [Thatâs alright.]
She thought she could always sell her designs to others, but for some reason, the people who had
confirmed their purchase had all canceled their orders afterward.
Since then, she stopped receiving inquiries altogether.
