Chapter 1182
There was a client who once expressed interest in her design and was kind enough to inform her of the
truth when he saw that Vicky was in desperate need of money.
âMiss Shaw, you might as well stop trying. No one will dare to buy anything from you.â
Vicky jolted slightly in shock and asked, âWhat do you mean? It
The person only said, âThink carefully. Have you wronged someone lately?â
Vicky fell into silence.
She clenched her fists, and her chest heaved as she thought, âItâs Tyler Hart. How dare he?! Heâs
crossed the line!â
Unable to suppress her anger any longer, Vicky dialed the one number she remembered by heart,
trembling.
The phone rang a few times before someone answered.
âWhatâs the matter?â Tylerâs voice was deep and cold, devoid of any emotion as if he anticipated that
she would call him.
âTyler Hart, youâve gone too far!â
Upon hearing the womanâs angry and hurried breath, Tyler chuckled. âYou sound very angry.â
âWhat happened is already in the past. Youâve had your revenge⦠Tyler Hart, what else do you want?
Do you have to annihilate me?â
âIn the past?â Tylerâs tone darkened. âVicky, does everything in your world pass by this quickly?â
Vicky failed to grasp the deeper meaning behind his words and angrily retorted, âWhat else can we do?
Do you want to hold grudges forever? If you have the ability and time, why donât you investigate what
really happened that night? Are your mighty skills only meant to be used against women?â
Tyler did not back down in response to Vickyâs patience, but instead, it made him more relentless.
Anger caused Vicky to lose her rationality, and she continued coldly, âYouâre too petty, childish, and
foolish for a CEO of a respectable company. I mustâve been blind to get involved with scum like you to
begin with! It seems breaking up with you was the best decision Iâve ever made in my life!â
As soon as her words fell, silence followed.
Even though they were on the phone, Vicky felt a chill down her spine and snapped out of her
hysterical state.
She realized that everything was in the past, and bringing them up again would serve no purpose other
than inflicting more harm on each other.
Just when Vicky thought Tyler would continue to make harsh remarks, he abruptly hung up the phone.
Since selling design sketches online did not work, Vicky had
to go out looking for a job. This time, she decided not to apply for designer positions at large
companies and instead sought relatively inconspicuous jobs that paid daily in cash, such as distributing
flyers, temporary work, or waitressing.
By changing jobs every day, Tyler would not have the chance to sabotage her before she left, and it
worked out perfectly.
To save the little cash she had left, Vicky decided to walk instead of taking transportation.
One day, as she passed by a small alley, she suddenly saw an elderly lady fall to the ground. People
were coming and going, but no one stepped forward to help.
Vicky hurriedly walked over and helped the old lady to her feet.
