Chapter 1196
The next day, someone rang the doorbell to Vickyâs apartment.
Harry stood outside the door as he greeted Vicky politely.â Ms. Shaw, Mister Hart has ordered me to
pick you up.â
âWhere is Tyler?â she asked expressionlessly.
âUmâ¦â Harry had just started working for Tyler and did not know much about Tylerâs relationship with
Vicky. After a few moments of hesitation, he said, âHeâs working.â
In truth, Tyler was in the hospital with Sheila.
Since Vicky was pregnant with Tylerâs child, Harry chose not to tell her the truth, fearing that he might
agitate Vicky by accident.
Vicky did not miss the hesitation on Harryâs expression but did not expose his lie. âGet Tyler to come
here. I need to speak with him.â
âMs. Shaw, Mister Hart is busy now, so Iâm afraid-â
Vicky interrupted him. âTell him that Iâm not leaving unless he comes.â
With that, Vicky slammed the door shut without giving Harry a chance to reply.
In the evening, the doorbell rang once again. Vicky got up and opened the door.
Standing at the doorstep was a tall, handsome man with an air of elegance. His jet-black eyes were like
black gems, cold and piercing.
Vickyâs eyelashes fluttered upon seeing him, but she quickly invite the man into the house.
âMs. Shaw, you have quite the guts to demand that I come here to pick you up,â he remarked
sarcastically once he stepped in.
Vicky ignored the sarcasm in his voice and calmly replied, âI invited you over today not to boast but to
have a conversation.â
âWhat do you want to talk about?â
Vicky looked into his eyes. âMister Hart, I want
While assessing the environment of the apartment,
âI donât want any misunderstandings, so I want to hear it from you,â Vicky said.
Tyler finally shifted his gaze to her face. âYes, I do want you to keep this child.â
Vicky smiled. âMister Hart, this child isnât only yours but also mine. Since itâs my child too, I have the
right to decide whether or not heâs born.â
Tylerâs dark eyes grew cold. âSo?â
Vicky turned her head away, refusing to meet his gaze. âI wonât beat around the bush. I donât plan to
keep this child. If you want me to give birth to him, youâll have to offer me something in return.â
âYou want to negotiate with me?â Tyler raised an eyebrow.
Vicky looked at him and said, âMister Hart, do you think Iâd bear a child for you without any status or
conditions? What benefit would that bring me? No other man will ever marry me in the future if I give
birth to your child while being single. IV
Tyler narrowed his eyes dangerously. âIt seems youâve thought of what you want.â
âCorrect.â Vicky calmly spoke, âThe sole condition for me to give birth to this childâ¦â Vicky locked eyes
with him and drawled, âIs for you to marry me.â
Tyler laughed in anger. âVicky Shaw, you have quite the ambition.â
