Knowing that Tyler had finished working, Vicky could finally relax. She quickly fell asleep.
The next day, Vicky woke up on time. After washing up, she went downstairs to make breakfast as
usual.
The housekeeper, however, was surprised to see her alone.â Missus Hart, didnât you go to work with
Mister Hart today?â
Tyler liked quietness, so the housekeeper only entered the mansion to work when he was away, and
spent the rest of the time in the separate residence provided for the staff.
Vicky realized what had happened. âHas he left?â
âI saw Mister Gardnerâs car parked at the front entrance this morning, and Mister Hart left shortly after. I
thought you were in the car, too.â
Vicky realized that Tyler had gone to work and did not wait for her; his actions spoke volumes.
Vicky felt a mix of emotions and did not know if she felt disappointed.
With Tyler gone to work, Vicky suddenly found herself with a lot of free time on her hands. This
newfound leisure made her feel somewhat uncomfortable.
Fortunately, Jennifer and Cece had returned to Stoneford City, so Vicky called them and decided to tidy
up the studio together.
Just as she was about to leave, Vicky received a call from Aurora. âVicky, when are you free? Itâs been
so long since we last met! I miss you.â
Vicky had been busy lately, devoting all her time and energy to Tyler. When she was at the hospital,
she could still see Aurora a few times during lunchtime, but with Tyler out of the hospital, she and Tyler
were inseparable.
Aurora did not like Tyler and complained, âVicky, you should give Tyler some space, or heâll get too
dependent on you.â
âIâm free today. I want to go to the studio and clean up. Do you want to come over?â Vicky suggested.
After a pause of more than ten seconds, Auroraâs voice came again, âVicky, are you saying that clingy
jerk actually lets you out of the house?â
âClingy jerk?â The image of Tylerâs aloof and restrained demeanor surfaced in Vickyâs mind. From
Vickyâs point of view, he was anything but clingy.
âVicky, havenât you noticed? Heâs taken over your life. Every time I call you, we canât talk for a few
minutes before he comes up with a headache, stomachache, or some other pain. Obviously, heâs not
giving you any time to spend with friends. Clingy is the only word I can think of to describe him. IVicky
just thought Aurora was finding fault with Tyler and did not take it to heart. âWill you come with me,
then?â
âSure!â Aurora was excited. âIâll bring Ruby along.â
Ruby was the name Aurora had given to the black cat she found. She adored the cat and had become
a crazy cat lady, with her social media feed slowly being taken over by pictures of the cat.
Upon arriving at the studio, she found Cece and Jennifer already there, cleaning.
The two walked over when they spotted Vicky and Aurora.â Vicky, Aurora!â
They had learned about Aurora from Vicky and were both friendly toward her.
Aurora had never had a lot of friends growing up and was overjoyed that both Cece and Jennifer
seemed to like her.
They were all the same age, so they soon became close friends.
As they chatted, Jennifer noticed the cat in Auroraâs arms.â Hm? This catâ¦looks familiar.â
