Chapter 1338
âMissus Hart?â
Vicky turned and saw a blond, blue-eyed foreign man standing behind her. It did not take her long to
remember who he was-Harold, one of Tylerâs business partners. She had met him during a contract
signing with Tyler some time ago.
Vicky politely extended her hand. âHarold, itâs a pleasure to see you again.â
Harold held her hand and lightly kissed the back of it.â Missus Hart, Iâm delighted to see you again too.â
Having lived abroad, Vicky understood this kind of gesture was mere etiquette, so she was not at all
surprised and remained composed and graceful.
As she was about to exchange pleasantries with Harold, a dull sound was heard, followed by Haroldâs
pained cry.
âAh!â
Vicky was taken aback for a moment before she looked up.
Behind Harold stood a tall, handsome man. His face was refined, but his expression was downright
intimidating. His pitch-black eyes seemed to emit chilling intent.
He seemed to have smashed the tray in his hand down onto Haroldâs head with great force, causing
him to bleed.
The abrupt noise attracted the attention of everyone at the banquet, and they all looked in their
direction.
âTylerâ¦â Vicky also stared at him in astonishment.
Noticing the shock and unease in her eyes, the look in Tylerâs eyes darkened, and he instantly
concealed all traces of hostility. His expression returned to its calm state as he explained, âIâm sorry, my
hand slipped.â
This explanation lacked sincerity; no one could accidentally hit someone so hard that their head started
bleeding.
However, given Tylerâs status, anything he said went.
Someone chimed in. âHaha, the tray mustâve been too slippery! Mister Hart just didnât get a good grip
on it for a moment.â
âThatâs right!â
âMister Harold, you should be more careful next time so you can dodge it in time when someoneâs tray
slips.â
Amid the crowdâs remarks, Vicky felt incredibly embarrassed. Despite the othersâ attempts to smooth
things over, she sensed that something was off.
She glanced at Harold, who was clutching his head on the floor, then at the indifferent Tyler.
She approached Tyler. âLetâs go home.â
Tyler remained silent for a moment. âOkay.â
As they had not had dinner yet, Tyler did not take her home directly but brought her to a restaurant she
frequented.
Watching him calmly peruse the menu, Vickyâs eyes flashed with concern.
âTyler,â she said, âIâve already arranged for a hypnotist for you. Letâs go together tomorrow.â
Tyler paused browsing and looked at Vicky sharply. âDo you want me to remember that badly?â
She looked away. âI just think thatâ¦â
âAre you starting to get tired of me again?â
âThatâs not it. I justâ¦â She was merely worried because Tyler seemed extremely agitated lately.
On top of that, Tyler was diagnosed with depression previously, and that was not something that
amnesia could cure.
After observing him for some time, she felt that his condition persisted.
âWhy insist that I remember, then?â he questioned coldly.â What exactly do you want from me, Vicky?â
