Chapter 1346
Vicky waited patiently for Isabella to continue, yet she seemed to be absorbed in her thoughts.
After waiting for a while, she called out, âDoctor Yelmon?â
Isabella snapped out of her thoughts and said, âSorry. I got lost in my thoughts.â
Vicky looked at her seriously. âYou just said that youâve tried a lot of methods but none of them
worked⦠So how did he recover?â
Isabella turned to look at Vicky. âOne day, I saw something on the news.â
âWhat news?â
âNews that the Shaws and the Sparks were to join a marriage alliance.â
Vicky lowered her head and remained silent for a while.
The sunlight was warm and bright outside the window, but she felt her blood running cold.
The office was unusually quiet, and Isabella did not break the silence either.
After what seemed like an eternity, Vicky finally spoke up. âI heard that you want Tyler to continue with
his treatment. Is that true?â
âYes.â Isabella looked at her hesitantly. âFive years ago, he recovered because he faced a greater
stimulus.â
As if she was afraid that Vicky did not fully understand what she was implying, Isabella thought for a
few seconds and added, âItâs like someone terminally ill suddenly becomes seemingly healthy one day.
Itâs not because theyâve recovered, but because they took something that temporarily stimulated their
body. But⦠By doing so, theyâre damaging their bodies even further. Do you understand, Missus Hart?â
Vickyâs hands and feet felt icy cold, and her heart sank. âI understand.â
âSince you reached out to me, I presume youâve also noticed Mister Hartâs abnormality, is that right?â
âYes.â
Isabella nodded and opened her notebook, which she carried with her at all times. âMissus Hart, the
more detailed your account, the better.â
Vicky poured two cups of water, handing one to Isabella while holding the other in her palm. The warm
water passed through the glass, but her hands remained cold.
Softly, Vicky began to describe in detail the recent events involving Tyler. When she mentioned the
amnesia from the car accident, Isabellaâs eyebrows furrowed, interrupting her.
âMissus Hart, excuse me for interrupting. Did Mister Hart experience any other stimuli before the car
accident?â
Vicky trembled and paled. âYes.â
âCould you be more specific?â
âI⦠I asked for a divorce.â
âWhat was his reaction at that time?â
Vicky stayed quiet for a few seconds. âHe chose to commit suicide and take me along with him.â
Isabella paused her note-taking upon hearing Vickyâs words, but as a professional doctor who had
witnessed all sorts of situations over the years, she quickly composed herself and continued, âWhat
was his reaction when you brought up the idea of divorce before?â
