Chapter 1427
Isabella glared at Avery. âI never thought youâd do something like this, Avery.â
A hint of guilt flashed across Averyâs eyes, but it was quickly replaced by another emotion. âIsabella, I
have nothing to do with this. Tyler was already sick to begin with⦠You knew that too, didnât you?â
âIâm guessing you read my notes without me knowing?â Isabella asked coldly.
It was a question, but her tone signaled to everyone she knew the answer.
Avery decided to continue playing dumb. âI have no idea what youâre talking about! The only reason Iâm
here is âcause Tyler asked for my help⦠In fact, Iâm the most innocent party in all of this.â
Avery instantly knew Tyler was only using her since he did not do anything after Vicky slapped her.
Thus, it would be hopeless to think he would make Vicky pay for what she did.
Tyler frowned when he heard what Avery said.
âWhat are you two talking about?â he asked.
âHavenât you realized yet? Vicky betraying you and shooting you with a gun is just part of a false
memory. Your memory is all jumbled, causing you to mix up everything. Everything you thought
happened didnât happen at all.
âVicky never shot at you. In fact, the gun wound on your chest was from the time when you were trying
to save Vicky and Lincoln shot at you. If you donât believe me, have a doctor check on your wound, and
heâll tell you exactly when you got it,â explained Harvey.
Isabella ignored Avery and shifted her attention to Tyler.
She looked sympathetically at him. âMister Hart, Mister Sparks is right. Missus Hart has been working
round the clock to find a cure for your sickness. The reason she came here today was because Mister
Sparks knew some very talented psychiatrists, and she brought me along to explore possible solutions
for your problem. Currently, the psychiatrists Iâve mentioned are still inside the mansion.â
The psychiatrists felt it was not the best time to show their faces at that moment.
âSo what youâre all saying isâ¦everything I thought had happened was just in my mind?â Tyler asked
dazedly.
Isabella nodded. She blamed herself for what happened.
âYes. Your hypnotherapy treatment-failed. And your memory has been in a state of chaos ever since
then.â
Tyler turned toward Vicky. âSo you didnât betray me? Nor did you steal trade secrets from Hart
Corporation to give to Harvey? You also didnât hide Harvey in your studio?â
Before Vicky could answer him, Harvey interjected, already at his limits. âTyler, I understand all
jumbled, but how could you insist Vicky would betray you? Sheâd
never hurt you for me!â
He pushed Vicky to stand in front of Tyler. âSheâs never once thought of leaving you, even when you
kept blaming her for something she didnât do.â
Tyler looked at Vicky.
Her face was riddled with exhaustion, which was made worse by how severely underweight she was.
Even though she was wearing a scarf on her neck, Tyler could still vaguely see the bruises and bite
marks on it.
âIâ¦L..did that?â
âWho else but you? Youâd hurt her whenever you mistakenly thought she betrayed you, and this
happens quite often. Yet, she never once blames you. Instead, sheâd patiently comfort you until you
calm down.â
Sometimes, Tyler would wake up from his confusion very quickly and feel remorseful for hurting Vicky.
Thus, no matter how resistant he was to the idea of getting treatment, he still agreed to it because he
was determined not to hurt Vicky anymore.
Alas, the treatment did not work.
