Chapter 1428
This was the best example of the treatmentâs failure.
While Tyler was clear-headed, Vicky told him Harvey knew talented psychiatrists. Of course, she would
have Isabella investigate their backgrounds before all else. Tyler made no objections then, but he soon
forgot about the whole thing. He even started imagining Vicky was betraying him.
âIâm not the only one who you thought Vicky was cheating with. There were also Noah, Alex,
Sebastian⦠In fact, you thought Vicky was cheating on you with almost all of the guys she had contact
with.
âShe stopped talking to all guys after that! And if she had to meet a male client, sheâd always bring
others with her. She did all this to make sure you wonât get triggered, but it was all in vain because you
didnât get any better,â said Harvey.
He then turned to Avery, who was still on the ground, with hatred and disgust.
âNo one knows what Missus Hart, your mother, asked you to do that day. But according to our
research, it has something to do with Avery. Not only is she the heiress of the Yeager family, but sheâs
also under Valenciaâs protection as well. We canât make her talk or lock her up for interrogationâ¦â
Harvey turned to look at Tyler. âBut you should know that Avery has been secretly meeting up with you
behind Vickyâs back. Her motive is to fuel the flames of your imagination.
Vicky has told you more than once to stay away from Avery. Alas, even though you agreed to do as she
said everytime, you just as quickly forget the promise youâve made her.
âThis time was no exception. All the times you think Vicky was going to betray, leave you, or meet up
with another man ⦠It was all in your head.â
Harveyâs words echoed inside Tylerâs mind. âSo everything was just my imagination?â He looked at
Vicky once more. She looked visibly worn out.
She had not had a moment to rest ever since Tyler was diagnosed with a mental disorder. While he
was suffering in his imagination, she was suffering with him in real life.
Seeing Tyler slowly regain his sanity, Vicky walked up to him and gently held his cold hand. âLetâs go
home. Iâll tell you everything then,â she said softly.
This was not the first time this happened, nor would it be the last. Every time, Vicky would patiently
explain what happened to him.
Tylerâs eyes slowly came to focus. It looked like he was back to being himself.
âI might forget everything again once weâre back,â he said self-deprecatingly.
Vicky looked at him. âItâs okay. As long as you remember me, itâs more than enough.â
She decided to stay through everything, which not many could do. To her, the suffering was made
worse by the lack of cure.
Tyler looked into her gentle eyes. His lips parted as though he wanted to say something when he
suddenly hugged her tightly.
Even though he knew he brought her nothing but pain, he could not bring himself to let her go. In fact,
he would never let her go.
