Chapter 1501
Vicky displayed a subtle smile. âI still have the freedom to make friends, donât I?â
Vicky pulled his fingers away one by one, before pushing him away. Tyler took a few steps back from
her push and did not continue to stop her.
Vicky turned her head and said to Chris, âletâs go.â
Chris glanced at Tyler and nodded.
Being the gentleman, he opened the car door for Vicky.
Chris returned to the driverâs seat and started the engine. Tyler stood still, watching the departing car.
The setting sun cast its glow upon him, he remained motionless for quite some time.
Cece and Jennifer exchanged a glance, and sighed simultaneously.
After another day at work, as Vicky stepped out of the studio, she spotted a familiar figure waiting at the
entrance.
âVicky.â Chrisâs voice suddenly sounded from the side, catching Vickyâs attention.
Only then did Vicky notice Chris. She averted her gaze and nodded at him before walking in his
direction.
However, Tyler suddenly intercepted her path.
He fixed his eyes intently on her. âI wasnât late today.â
Vicky gazed back at him. âBut I made plans with Chris since yesterday. So⦠sorry.â
âYesterday?â A clear note of irony tinted Tylerâs tone. âIs that just an excuse to get rid of me?â
Vicky fell silent.
âEven if Iâd arranged a date with you beforehand, youâd have found another reason to reject me,
wouldnât you?â
Vicky smiled at him. âYouâre right.â
Tylerâs gaze shifted briefly to Chris, his voice low. âVicky, are you testing my patience?â
Vickyâs expression held a faint hint of puzzlement. âIs having a meal with a friend considered a test?â
âFriend?â Tyler found it amusing. âCan he even be called a friend?â
âChris is capable, and I admire his abilities,â Vicky replied have grown even larger.â
âIf you want to expand your studio, I can-â
Vicky knew what he was going to say and interrupted him with an emotionless tone. âI know that you
could easily turn my studio into the largest fashion house in Zendonia, but I donât need that. I want to
achieve everything with my own hands, not rely solely on a manâs assistance.â Vicky looked up at him.
âTyler, what you want to give me isnât necessarily what I want.â
Tylerâs lips curled slightly. âThat includes me as well, right? Are you saying that you donât want me
anymore?â
Vickyâs gaze flickered for a moment, but she did not reply and her silence spoke volumes.
âVicky, arenât we leaving?â Chris asked.
Vicky snapped out of it and said, âletâs go.â
She did not bother to look at Tyler again and got into Chrisâs car.
As soon as they started driving, Chris said, âhe is following us.â
Vicky glanced at the rear-viewing mirror and spotted Tylerâs car behind them. Not surprised, she said,
âTyler is in an unstable state right now, so I canât promise that he will resort to violence with you. If you
find yourself in danger, donât fight him. Just leave. As for meâ¦â She lowered her gaze. âHe wonât hurt
me, so donât worry.â
Chris hummed in response, unable to console her.
