Tylerâs amusement grew when he saw the shock on Vickyâs face.
âYou seem to know I was your ex-husband, Ms. Shaw,â he mused. âIf thatâs the case, why didnât you
mention it to me?â
Vicky slowly regained her composure.
She had debated on the possibility that he regained his memories, but it seemed as though he only
found out that they were once married.
âYes, I knew about it.â
Tyler silently signaled her to continue.
She lowered her gaze and said, âOur marriage was a marriage of convenience. You needed a wife, and
I needed the money. We had an agreement that weâd get a divorce once the time came. Weâve never
met, nor did you know who you actually married. Everything was done by your assistant. As for why I
never mentioned it, thatâs because thereâs a clause stating that I am not to have any contact with you
after the divorce.â
This was the official explanation given by Old Mister Hart.
Tyler gazed at Vicky silently. âWhy would I need a wife?â
Vickyâs gaze flickered slightly, but she calmly replied, âI donât know much about your side of the story,
Mister Hart.â
Tylerâs gaze lingered on her for a while as if he was examining her for any sign of deception.
Vicky did not avert her gaze from his scrutiny.
After a moment, he said, âI seeâ¦â
Vicky stared at him. âIs there anything else you would like to know?â
âNo,â he replied.
âWell then, itâs getting late. You should leave now.â
âLeave?â Tyler calmly retorted, âWhere to?â
Vicky frowned. âBack to wherever you live.â
âIsnât that where I am now?â
Vicky was momentarily taken aback, and her expression grew cold. âTyler Hart, what do you mean by
that?â
Tyler looked at her as he slowly spoke, âI want to sleep with you. Do you understand now?â
Vickyâs face paled with anger. âYou have no shame!â
Tyler meaningfully continued, âMs. Shaw, I made my intentions quite clear from the beginning. You
were the one who insisted I spell it out.â
âSo all the things we talked about earlier mean nothing?!â
âHm? Did we talk about sleeping together before?â
Tylerâs soft tone caused Vicky to tremble with anger, and she could no longer maintain her composure.
âTyler Hart, get out of here!â
âYouâve grown feisty after meeting Harvey,â Tyler pointed out with a half-smile. âVicky, you donât think
Harvey can protect you, do you?â
His tone took a sharp turn and became extremely cold.â Break up with Harvey right now, and you might
be able to rekindle your relationship with him once I get tired of you. But, if you continue to fight meâ¦â
Tylerâs gaze lowered, and he smirked.
âVicky, you wouldnât want to witness what Iâm capable of, would you?â
