Chapter 1612
Tyler glanced at Vicky and said, âNo.â
âTyler Hart, you are way out of line here!
âOut of line?â Tyler feigned confusion. âIsnât it normal for a man like me to have a few lovers and a few
illegitimate children out there? Is this out of line?â
âThatâs right. You can have any woman you want. You can even have your own harem if you want,
butâ¦â Vicky stared at Tyler. âIâm not interested in being a part of that. I know you wonât be around for
long, and you will go back to Molivia someday. Why donât we both compromise? I donât need you to pay
me. In return, I want my freedom back once you leave.
He leaned against the couch and crossed his legs elegantly. âYouâre not wrong in what you say. Yeah,
Iâve had my fair share of women, but theyâre dull and are barely a challenge.â He took a shallow drag
on his cigarette. âTruth be told, I havenât encountered a woman who continually rejects me like you.
Finding out that you were once my ex-wife has made me even more intrigued.â
Tyler gazed at Vicky and smirked condescendingly. â Congratulations, Ms. Shaw, you managed to catch
my attention.â
âMister Hart, youâre a businessman; you should understand the principle of leaving a way out and not
taking things to
the extreme. Youâre a person of immense power, so thereâs no need to harass a woman like me so
ruthlessly, is there?â
Tyler lifted an eyebrow. âWhatâs the point of all this power if I canât even get a woman I want?â
Vicky clenched her fists. âI donât like being forced.â
Tylerâs tone shifted. âYou can refuse, and you can also leave now, Ms. Shaw. Of courseâ¦â He leaned
back lazily. âI wonder if your fiance can hold out.â
Vickyâs expression darkened instantly
Tyler was in no hurry, while Harvey awaited the blood he needed to survive.
Vicky picked up a pen from the side, but her hand trembled with resistance. She knew this was Tylerâs
method to coerce her into submission. Alas, she could only obey.
Vicky raised her head. âMister Hart, is there truly no room for compromise?â
Tylerâs expression turned cold. âMs. Shaw, do you even have the right to negotiate with me now?â
Vicky nodded. âI understand.â
She did not hesitate or struggle any longer. She simply signed her name.
After that, Vicky looked at Tyler. âIâve signed it. Itâs time for you to fulfill your end of the bargain.â
Tyler glanced at the agreement, and then casually made a call. âSend the blood Harvey needs to the
hospital.â
âUnderstood,â came the voice on the other end of the line.
After hanging up, Tyler looked at Vicky. âAre you satisfied now, Ms. Shaw?â
Vicky stood up, her tone cool. âItâs getting late. Iâll head back.
Watching her retreating figure, Tyler said, âWho told you that you can leave?â
âHarvey is still in the hospital. I need to make sure heâs out of danger.â
âI wonât break my promise on what Iâve agreed to do.â Tylerâs expression remained indifferent. âStay
tonight.â
Vicky forced a smile. âYou only agreed to provide blood. However, during the rescue process, accidents
can still happen. Knowing what youâre capable of, itâs easy for you to make accidents happen while
keeping your hands clean.â
His profound eyes narrowed dangerously. âYou seem to lack trust in me, Ms. Shaw.â
âHave you given me any reason to believe you at all?â
Tylerâs expression grew completely cold. âVicky, provoking me wonât benefit you in any way.â
Vicky was well aware of this, but she could not suppress her resentment toward Tyler.
Closing her eyes gently, Vicky took several deep breaths to maintain her composure. She barely could.
