Vicky did not even feel a little bit of joy at the prospect of their wedding.

“So what’s going on with the wedding?” she asked.

“It’s been arranged as we speak,” answered Tyler impassively. “It’ll be held at the end of next month.”

Vicky frowned. “But I haven’t…”

She was going to say that she had not agreed to anything when Tyler cut her off. “I’ve already decided,

so I’m not going to cancel the wedding.”

He looked down at her frowning face.

“You don’t look like you’re happy,” he commented.

Vicky was indeed not happy. Everything felt like a dream to her. She did not understand why Tyler

would suddenly want to marry her.

“Is it because you have some concerns?” Tyler asked gently. “You can tell me if you have.”

Vicky did not know what to say.

“If you’re worried about the baby, don’t be. I promise you I’ll never let it come between us,” he added.

Tyler pulled her into his embrace and kissed her forehead.

“You can go over the wedding details with the wedding planner and choose whichever destination you

want for the honeymoon. You can also invite all of your friends. By the way, do you want to do a

livestream for the wedding ceremony?”

“No.” Vicky’s focus was not on the wedding. She leaned against his chest and asked quietly, “Can you

forgive someone who has lied to you?”

“It depends on who that person is.”

Vicky looked up, and their eyes met. His eyes were as mysterious as the night sky.

“I can forgive that person if she were you,” he added.

Vicky’s heart thumped wildly.

“You should spend your time planning for the wedding instead of thinking about other stuff.” Tyler

rested his cheek against hers. “I’ll ask Adam to bring you the information tomorrow, and you can go

over the details with your friends if you want.”

Vicky said nothing more.

The next day, Aurora asked Vicky out the moment she woke up. She could not wait to find out about

what happened last night.

“Vicky, are you really getting married? Have you chosen the date for the wedding?! Tyler didn’t try to

delay the whole thing by sweet-talking you, did he?” asked Aurora the moment she saw Vicky in the

coffee house.

Aurora then realized Vicky looked like she had a lot of things going through her mind. She waved her

hand in front of her face.

“What’s the matter, Vicky? Why do you look so out of it?”

Vicky snapped back to the present. “It’s nothing.”

Aurora took a closer look at Vicky’s face. Frowning, she said, “Vicky, you don’t look too happy. Could it

be…”

Suddenly, her face changed. “Is Tyler just playing with you? Like, he doesn’t really want to marry you at

all?”

Vicky smiled bitterly. “No. I won’t be surprised if he just wants to play with me, but what really surprised

me is… He seems like he really wants to marry me. He even decided on the wedding date already.”

“Isn’t that a good thing? It means he’s serious about you.”

Vicky shook her head. “But something feels off about the whole thing.”

“Could you be more specific?”

“Don’t you think it’s weird he would want to suddenly marry me when we haven’t been together for that

long?”

Aurora finally understood what Vicky’s concern was. She looked at her and said, “But you guys do

know each other for a long time already. He might’ve lost his memory, but I’m sure he didn’t lose his

love for you. No matter how much you pretend that you don’t know him, your feelings toward him aren’t

the same as the feelings you would have toward a new guy, right?”
