Tyler glanced at Vicky and stood quietly behind her.
Aurora felt excited that Tyler was paying for all the pain, suffering, and humiliation Vicky once faced.
She was determined to torture Tyler at her best effort.
Aurora called the waiter over and ordered two cups of coffee. Tyler, who had been silent all this time,
spoke, âDonât drink too much coffee. Itâs not good for the baby.â
Aurora furrowed her brow. âVicky, do all bodyguardstalk so much?â
Regardless, Aurora replaced Vickyâs coffee with juice.
The coffee shop was not crowded, but Tylerâs tall and graceful figure-coupled with his regal aura-
instantly drew everyoneâs attention. Many young girls blushed just from glancing at him.
Being the center of attention made Vicky feel uncomfortable, and she looked up at Tyler. âYou should
sit elsewhere.â
Fully embracing his role, Tyler cooperated willingly. He chose a seat that was not too close to Vicky but
allowed him to intervene if something happened.
Seeing Tyler take his seat, Aurora could not help but whisper to Vicky, âVicky, what is Tyler up to?â
Vicky explained the agreement she reached with Tyler in a hushed voice.
Auroraâs eyes widened in surprise. âHe agreed to that?â
He wants to keep this child, so thereâs no reason for him to refuse,â Vicky replied as she took a sip of
her juice.
Aurora picked up on the underlying message in Vickyâs words. âVicky, do you think his obsession with
you has shifted to the child?â
Vicky recalled Tylerâs terrifying expression when he barged into the operating room and nodded softly.
âHeâs always been quite obsessed with the idea of having a child sinceâ¦â Vicky paused, skipping over
that topic. âHeâs promised me that after I give birth, he wonât bother me anymore.â
Aurora found it difficult to believe that Tyler was being cooperative.
âVicky, just take what he says with a grain of salt. Donât trust him too much,â Aurora cautioned quietly.
Vickyâs brow furrowed. âDo you think heâs lying to me?â
Aurora continued in a hushed tone, âI donât know if heâs lying to you, but think about it. This child will be
with you for ten months. After you give birth, can you really bear to give him up? If Tyler wants to
reconcile with you, youâll find it hard to refuse if he uses the baby as an excuse, even if all he asks is for
you to breastfeed the baby. With every passing day, youâll become more attached. In the end, heâll
have you under his thumb again.â
Aurora sneered at Tylerâs cunningness. âNow that youâre
pregnant, he wonât dare to harm you, upset you, or do anything to you. Make the most of this time to
torment him, and take revenge for all the humiliation heâs caused you. Make things difficult for him, and
donât let him off lightly!â
Aurora did not believe that Vicky would gain her freedom after the child was born. Instead, she thought
it would just give Tyler another reason to keep Vicky close.
Vicky was taken aback for a moment.
Seeing Vickyâs thoughtful expression, Aurora knew what she was thinking. âVicky, havenât you noticed?
Whether it was the wedding or his plans after the wedding, the intention of letting you go has never
crossed his mind. Now, with the child, youâll have another bond between you, and heâll have even more
reason to cling to you.â She remembered something Noah had said to her and whispered, âIn other
words, his previous reason for pursuing you was hatred.
Now, itâs the child.â
She gazed into Vickyâs eyes and continued, âHe had no excuse but his hatred for you to keep coming
back for you. Without a reason to see you, youâll be strangers from now on. Of course, he probably still
holds some grudge against you in his heart, or he wouldnât have done such extreme things.â
