Chapter 220
The beautiful, slim woman stood in front of Vicky and smiled. âIs Miss Lynn alright?â
âThank you for your help, Miss Young,â said Vicky, her expression flat.â
Cece is fine now.â
âMiss Shaw, can I have a word with you? In private?â
Vicky remained quiet for a few seconds and she looked at Cece. âCece, wait for me outside.â
Cece gave Vicky a worried look before she nodded and left.
After Cece left, Vicky said, âMiss Young, what do you want to talk to me about?â
Sheila walked to the sink and, turning on the tap to wash her hands, asked,â Are you and Tyler
fighting?â i
Vickyâs pupils shrunk. She looked at Sheila with a straight face and did not answer.
From the mirror, Sheila could see Vickyâs expression.
She smiled. âDonât misunderstand me, Miss Shaw. I donât mean anything else. Itâs just that Tyler didnât
help you when you were in trouble just now, so I guessed that you two are fighting. Thereâs no reason
why Tyler wonât help you.â
Vicky replied plainly, âYou do know him very well.â
Sheilaâs voice was calm. âIâve known him for many years, so I know his personality very well. Tyler
yields to soft approaches but rejects force. Thereâs nothing good if you go straight on with him.â
âAre you here to pass on your experience?â
Sheila finished washing her hands and looked back at Vicky. âMiss Shaw, you donât have to have so
much hatred for me. Iâm not your enemy, and you are not my enemy.â
âWhat are you trying to say?â Vicky said.
Sheila put her hair behind her ears and said softly, âI mean, Tyler doesnât love me or you. Itâs useless
for us to fight endlessly, so why canât we try to coexist peacefully? Itâs a good thing for us and Tyler.â
Vicky deadpanned at Sheila, finding her words downright ridiculous.
âCoexist peacefully? Sheila Young, did I hear you wrongly? Are you saying you can accept Tyler having
a wife and a lover in the same picture?â
Sheila put on a helpless look. âMiss Shaw, I already explained to you that thereâs nothing between Tyler
and me. Heâs just being nice to me to compensate me.â
She paused and stared directly into Vickyâs eyes. âHeâs told me heâs not going to marry me or divorce
you.â
It took Vicky a while to digest what Sheila said.
âSo?â She could not hide the disdain in her expression. âWhat, you decide to accept this situation and
relationship?â
Sheila frowned. âVicky Shaw, Iâve explained many times. Thereâs nothing between me and Tyler, and
we never overstepped the boundary. Why are you still unsatisfied?â
The way she looked at Vicky had turned from calm to ferocious.
âYou should know Tyler isnât going to abandon me. If Iâm not wrong, the reason you and Tyler fight this
time is because of me. Itâs totally unnecessary, isnât it? Iâm sure I donât have to tell you how good it is to
be
Tylerâs wife. You should know better.
âIf Tyler and I werenât here today, you do know whatâs going to happen to you and Cece, right?â
âIs he the one asking you to talk to me about this?â said Vicky pointedly, cutting her off from continuing.
Sheila was stunned at this sudden question, yet she understood what Vicky meant.
âNo.â Her voice was soft. âIâm saying this on my own accord.â
âIf this is your decision, thenâ¦youâre not as ambitious as I think you are.â
Sheila raised an eyebrow. âWhat do you mean?â
Vicky smiled. âSince you know how good it is to be Tylerâs wife, have you never thought of fighting to be
his wife?â
Sheila looked at Vicky and said nothing for a while. Seconds later, she said, âTyler said heâs not having
a divorce-â
âThereâs no definitive saying in this world,â interrupted Vicky once more.â Everything can happen if you
want to.â
Sheila looked at her for a long time again. âI donât have any power or support. The advantage that I
used to have is gone too. Itâs impossible for Tyler to get a divorce and marry me. The only thing I have
left is the guilt he had, yet itâs not enough for him to sacrifice his benefit to marry me.â
