Chapter 265
âTyler Hart,â Vicky enunciated, âunless you agree to the divorce, Iâll never apologize.â
He chuckled darkly. âVicky Shaw, do you really think that I canât do anything to you?â
âWhy would I think that? You sent people to destroy my studio and injured Cece as a warning to me,
right?â
He sneered. âSo, youâd rather see your studio destroyed and your assistant injured, and would rather
be forced to stay in the hotel while everyone condemns you on the internet than apologize?â
Vicky knew that as long as she caved, Tyler could resolve everything considering what he was capable
of. However, she would rather tolerate all the contempt and be attacked by hysterical fans than admit to
doing something she was never involved in.
âYeah. I wonât apologize.â
âVery well,â he snarled. âLetâs hope that you wonât come running back to beg for mercy.â
He then hung up, leaving Vicky to stare at her phone blankly.
A day and a night passed, but the rumors about Vicky had not ceased circulating.
Since the crew had yet to announce the cause of Sheilaâs accident, they had fallen victim to all the talk
online as well.
[Iâve received information that says Sheila drowned because of Vicky Shaw!
1
[Ugh! Is the crew trying to protect Vicky? She must be someone important, then!]
[Forget it! All the news about her wouldâve been taken off the internet if she is important!]
[Maybe she is some directorâs loverâ¦]
The directors of the film had not anticipated that the situation would escalate to such an extent.
Vicky had not been able to resolve the situation, and the pressure of public opinion was weighing down
on the crew.
A day later, Director Lumber called Vicky to his office. âVicky, weâve worked together in the past and I
know that you arenât this kind of a person. There might be a misunderstanding about the costume,
but⦠The public opinion is leaning toward one side, and if we donât make a public announcement soon,
Iâm afraidâ¦â
Director Lumber was exhausted as the accident had not ceased since they started filming.
It was first Charlie, then Vicky, and none of these scandals would do the movie any good.
Vicky stared at him and said, âDirector Lumber, the accident about the costume is abnormal.â
She ignored all the talk outside and focused on investigating the accident as it all started with Sheila
drowning.
âDirector Lumber, I recalled something. Before Sheila changed into that costume, Maria Sparks had
been inside the costume room as well,â she deadpanned.
After recalling the day repeatedly, she remembered checking the costume over and over again to make
sure that there was no damage to it.
However, she was called away a few minutes before Sheila was supposed to put on the costume, and
when she returned to the room, she found
Maria changing inside.
Maria played one of the characters in the movie and would often change in the room. Since Vicky had
only been gone for a few minutes at the time, she had not paid much mind to it.
Coming to think of it, Maria might be the one who destroyed Sheilaâs costume.
Director Lumber shot Vicky a pointed look. âVicky, you canât make claims without evidence. We havenât
announced what caused Sheila to drown because we werenât certain as to how the costume was
destroyed. Do you understand what Iâm trying to say?â
