Chapter 272
Tyler grabbed Vickyâs wrist tightly and turned to leave. When Vickyâs feet landed on the ground,
however, the pain from her sprained ankle became even more intolerable.
All of a sudden, someone grabbed Vickyâs other hand.
Tyler stopped walking and looked back at Mister Kirby. Seeing his hand grabbing onto Vickyâs other
hand, he snarled, âLet go of her.â
Mister Kirby smiled as if he did not give a sh*t about what Tyler said. âI should be the one saying that.â
Tyler proudly stared back at him. âDo you think you have the right to say that?â
Mister Kirby scoffed. âItâs not up to you to say that. The most important thing isâ¦what Vicky thinks.â
He averted his gaze from Tyler and stared at Vicky, saying softly, âVicky, do you want to go with him?â
Vicky glanced over at Sheila, who was standing not far away from them.â They came out from this
restaurant. I bet they were eating together, and Tyler mustâve taken the chance to tell Sheila I got
locked up to please her.â
She put on a straight face and turned to look at Mister Kirby instead of Tyler. âMy ankle is sprained. Can
you please send me to the hospital?â
Mister Kirby looked very pleased with the answer. âYou donât have to be so polite with me.â
Tyler was amused to see how close Vicky and Mister Kirby were. âVicky Shaw, donât tell me youâre
running back to this guy again.â
It felt ironic and insulting to Vicky as she furrowed her brow uncomfortably.
âTyler, stop judging other peopleâs relationships based on your assumptions. Mister Kiby and I are just
friends. No one ever created a rumor about us nor had we ever displayed public affection.â
âMister Kirby?â Tyler squinted. âYouâre taking his side? A man who has to fake his identity and give you
to another man like you were a pet?â
Tylerâs hand tightened around Vickyâs wrist as he, looking into Mister
Kirbyâs eyes, continued, âAm I rightâ¦Harvey Sparks?â
Something exploded in Vickyâs mind as she thought she heard an explosion in her head.
She looked at Mister Kirby dumbfoundedly. âYou⦠Youâre Harvey Sparks?â
Harvey Sparks, her ex-husband. The one who used to compete fiercely with Tyler.
To be more accurate, they were nemesis.
It just never occurred to Vicky that the man who helped her numerous times was her ex-fiance, Harvey
Sparks, all along.
The smile on Harvey Sparksâ face gradually disappeared. He gazed at Vicky and said, âYes. Iâm Harvey
Sparks.â
Vickyâs face turned pale, and her limbs felt cold. âSo you knew me all along? What tricks were you
trying to pull when you pretended to not know me?â
Harveyâs gaze wavered as he reasoned, his voice gone husky, âI do know you, but I wasnât playing any
tricks-â
âA lie is a lie,â interjected Tyler, sneering. âNo matter what reason you have, itâs still a lie.â
âI donât believe you never lied to her now that sheâs lost her memory,â refuted Harvey snarkily.
âSo what if I did?â Tyler was unbothered. âSheâs Missus Hart. Sheâs my woman.â
âAre you trying to say you can lie to her any way you like just because sheâs your âwomanâ, and thereâs
nothing wrong with it?â Harvey smiled crookedly.â Tyler, do you really think no one knew what you did?â
âHarvey Sparks, you lost the right to be standing here talking to me about this.â
Vicky felt lost when she heard their conversation. Due to her amnesia, she had no idea what they were
talking about.
