Chapter 312
âDo you want to shower? Do you need help?â
Vicky remained quiet for a while before nodding. âSure. Thank you.â
She felt powerless and dazed the night before, but she knew that the man expected to get his pennyâs
worth.
After the shower, Vicky changed into a clean set of clothes while Jane remained in the room with her,
which felt like supervision nonetheless.
Due to the lack of sleep, Vicky fell asleep again shortly after lunch. By the time she woke up again, the
sky was dark as Jane returned with dinner.
Vicky felt energized after resting and cast all the negative feelings within her aside.
âJane, can I ask you something?â she asked.
Since Vicky had not caused any trouble so far, Jane had taken a liking to her and replied patiently,
âWhat is it?â
âAm I in the same room as last night?â
Jane nodded.
Vicky glanced around her in confusion. âBut the room was pitch dark last night.â
Had she not seen the crystal bed, she would have thought that everything was just a nightmare. The
darkness she was
in the night before was unlike anything she ever experienced before, and it made her feel as though
she was stuck in hell.
Jane chuckled. âThe room you are in right now belongs to the customer who bought you, and the
curtains were made specifically to block out light.â She lowered her voice and whispered mysteriously,
âAll customers here are in extremely powerful positions. They all value their privacy and refuse to show
their faces. I myself never saw their true faces.â
Vicky sneered inwardly and thought to herself, âSo they knew just how despicable their actions are after
all if they knew that they needed to hide their faces. What a bunch of hypocrites. All they can do is hide
from the light.â
After chatting with Vicky for a while, Jane received a call and she said respectfully, âOf course. Iâll leave
now.â
Once she ended the call, Jane said to Vicky, âThe customer is coming back. Perform well and make
him happy. Iâll talk to the boss and give you a month off.â
âA month off? What happens after that? Back to all this?â Vicky thought to herself and lowered her gaze
to nod.
Jane grabbed a remote controller to draw the curtains before leaving the room once the room was
shrouded in darkness.
A few minutes later, the door opened again, and Vicky heard footsteps approaching.
She tensed. She had seven days to try and escape, and it was already the second day.
âDo you want the lights on?â the altered voice echoed in the space.
Vicky thought about it and said, âSure.â
A few moments later, the man switched on the light, his mask shimmering under the dim light.
âHave you called Tyler?â she asked hastily.
