Chapter 377
Tyler saw Vickyâs pale, scared face. âDid I scare you?â âA littleâ¦â As a matter of fact, she was not
scared because Tyler scared her.
It was because⦠For a moment there, she thought the masked man was in the house.
Tyler saw her eyelashes fluttering. âWhy are you up so early today?â
Vicky forced a smile on her face. âI want to cook breakfast for you.â
They were standing very close to each other, so close that Tyler could see how red Vickyâs eyes were.
âDidnât you sleep well last night?â
âI had difficulty falling asleep. Maybe it was because of the nap I took during the party,â Vicky said.
He gazed at her. âVicky, Iâm going to be busy lately.â
âBe busy,â she replied softly, lightly, âdonât worry about me.â
âOkay. If youâre afraid, you can come and find me anytime. I can continue working after youâre asleep,â
Tyler said.
Her restless heart was soothed by his gentle words. She felt less anxious, too.
âAlright,â she responded.
After breakfast, Tyler went to work. On the other hand, Vicky went to the study to work. However, she
had been too anxious lately. She drew three sketches, but neither of them was good enough.
The image of the masked man, Sebastian, and Tyler danced in her mind. The speculations and
assumptions haunted her persistently.
After sitting in front of the computer for an hour doing nothing, she finally decided to call a number. The
call got through quickly, and she heard Sebastianâs excited voice.
âVicky?â
Vicky took a deep breath and asked, âAre you free this afternoon? I want to meet with you.â
Sebastian answered without thinking, âSure.â
She paused for a while and said, âWell, letâs meet in Cloud-Nine Hotel, Room 1331 in the afternoon.â
âCloud-Nine Hotel?â Sebastian was curious but he did not ask anything.â Alright.â
Vicky had the keycard for Room 1331 so she could go in whenever she liked. Other than nighttime, she
had never been in this room. The room actually was a nightmare to her, and naturally, she resisted
coming to this room.
She reached Room 1331 half an hour early. First, she went in and examined the room. Same as
before, she did not find anything. The locked room was still locked. Since she did not find any clues,
she sat on the sofa in the living room and waited for Sebastian to arrive.
Not long after, the doorbell rang. Vicky got up and opened the door.
A handsome, gentle-looking man stood outside the door with a curious look. âAre you staying here?â
Vicky made way for him to go in. âWelcome.â
Sebastian entered the living room.
She poured a glass of water for him. âHave some water.â
âThank you.â He accepted the glass of water and drank politely before looking at her.
âVicky, why did you ask me to meet up with you?â
