Chapter 404
âItâs not her.â The woman in the photo popped into Vickyâs mind. âI suspect that itâs the woman heâs
been truly in love with.â âThe woman heâs been truly in love with?â
Vicky smiled bitterly. âI used to think that he was in love with Sheila. I later found out thatâ¦Sheila was
just a substitute forthat woman.â
After a few moments of silence, Harvey asked, âWhat makes you say that?â
âI saw a photo in his study room. Besides,â she bitterly continued, âhe didnât agree to continue the
marriage with me to advance his career. Itâs probably because I can play âThe Moonlight Bayâ.â
The song was what Vicky, Sheila, and Nikki shared in common.
âThe Moonlight Bayâ?â Harvey repeated in an odd tone.
Vicky was sharp enough to pick up on it. âDo you know something about it?â
Harvey used to be Vickyâs fiance and had a grudge against Tyler, so it was likely that Harvey knew
what happened in the past.
He did not say anything.
âMister Sparks, do you know something about this?â she repeated.
âHow can I forget?* she thought to herself. âHarvey is one of the people who might know everything
concerning the memories Iâve lost.â
âVicky,â he said in a melodious yet hoarse voice. âSometimes, itâs better to forget.â
Harveyâs advice sounded familiar; Sebastian had said the same thing before.
Vicky gripped her phone tightly. âYou know this person, donât you?â
âVickyâ¦â
âJust answer me. Yes or no?â
Harvey did not respond, and Vicky got her answer from his silence. Just as she was about to hang up,
she heard him sigh.
âYes, I do know her.â
âWhat about me? Do I know her?â
âYou do, too.â
âCan you tell me her name?â
âIâm sorry, Vicky.â
Vicky smiled. âThank you for telling me this.â She paused before adding, âA big part of my motivation
for looking into Tyler is because of this woman, soâ¦I donât think I should be asking for your help to
avoid putting you in a difficult situation. I know that itâs going to be challenging to find the truth alone. All
I ask is that you donât try to hide this woman from me. Donât worry, though. I just want to know who she
is. I wonât do anything to hurt her.â
âVicky, I can tell you with certainty that the woman Tyler is seeing right now isnât her,â Harvey said.
âIs that so?â
âIâm not trying to protect this person by not telling you who she is. Itâs just thatâ¦â Harvey struggled with
his words. âJust remember that Iâd never hurt you.â
âThank you. I need to go now.â
âAlright.â
After the call, she started glancing through Tylerâs schedule during the day.
She was being haunted by a masked man, while he spent time with a mysterious woman.
âWhat a couple we are,â she thought.
His whereabouts at night had been completely out of sight, but what happened during the day had
been recorded in detail. She could see that he had been staying in Hart Corporation the entire day
without heading out for any business meeting.
