Tyler leaped and pinned Vicky underneath him. âDisgust?â He narrowed his eyes dangerously.
âShouldnât I be the one to say that?â
She froze. âWhat is that supposed to mean?â
âYou know d*mn well what I mean.â
Her lashes fluttered. âI donât understand.â
He stared down at her and continued with a voice cold enough to freeze her soul, âYou joined us for
dinner on purpose last night. You then mocked Gloria and embarrassed her publicly before slapping
her face. You did all that to put on a show for me, right?â
Her blood ran cold, and her heart sank. âWhat are you talking about? I donât get it.â
He stared at her and said, âAre you in this much of a hurry because you found out that heâs in
Stoneford City?â 1
Vicky was dumbfounded. âWho is in Stoneford City? What am I in a hurry for?â
âWere you drinking because of him?â
Confused, she questioned, âWhat are you talking about?!â
âWhen did you two get in touch again?â
âHow many times have you met?â
âHas anything happened between the two of you so far?â
âTyler Hart, have you lost your mind? What on earth are you talking about?!â Vicky lost her temper.
He observed her expression intently and said, âIâm talking about your ex boyfriend.â
Vicky frowned. âHarvey?â
Harvey left after helping her in looking into what Selene had done. He seemed to have discovered
something important, but the investigation into it was challenging.
She had not heard from, let alone met Harvey for some time.
The look in Tylerâs eyes darkened at the mention of Harveyâs name, and he continued, âEx-boyfriend,
not ex-fiance.â
âIs there a difference?â Vicky thought in confusion, wondering if Tyler was simply venting his anger on
her for what she did to Gloria the night before.
After a few moments of silence, she said, âMy ex-boyfriend? Isnât that you?â
âDo you think Iâm the only man you ever dated?â Tyler mocked.
Vicky was stunned and thought, âHeâs got a point. Itâs possible for me to date someone else after
Tylerâ¦but that doesnât seem to fit into the timeline. I was engaged to Harvey half a year after my
breakup with Tyler, so is he saying that within those six months, I was dating someone else?â
With a hoarse voice, she asked, âWho exactly are you talking about?â
Tylerâs expression darkened further as he narrowed his eyes coldly. He pursed his lips in rage and
gritted out, âNoah Canyer.â
Vicky froze. âWho?â
Tyler stared at her and enunciated, âNoah. Canyer.â
âNo way.â Vicky shook her head immediately in disbelief.
She did not feel anything when she met Noah, and the way Noah behaved around her did not fit into
the mannerism of an ex-boyfriend. The way he looked and interacted with her gave the impression that
they were only friends.
