Randy's alarm went off at 7am, he quickly turned it off. Once he did he looked next to him. A sleeping Benny was cuddling with a pillow. The same pillow that he threw at Randy last night. The older laughed to himself before beginning to wake him.
"Ben open those hazels and wake up we need to get to the bakery" Randy said. Ben was not a morning person whatsoever. What makes matters worse, Randy kept him up late. The Lego set was finished around three am.
Benny gripped the pillow tighter, he had his right eye open. The younger didn't budge from the bed. He wasn't acting like himself, so Randy called Olivia.
Soon enough Olivia was in Randy's apartment. "How long did you keep him up last night" Olivia asked. "Till three" Randy said. Olivia rolled her eyes, walking past Randy. She found their shared bedroom. Ben was still lying in bed. She's seen this happen many times. Her son had a sleepless night yet again.
Turning out of the bedroom she went into the living room. Randy was drinking his coffee. "You go in I'll stay here till he wakes up" Olivia said. Randy didn't have to be told twice, he grabbed his coat and went out the door.
Olivia heard nothing but silence when Randy left. She saw the finished ninja turtle sitting on the coffee table. Knowing her son, the two were up all night. Layla called her not long after. "How's Ben" She asked. "He's fine, Randy and Ben built the Lego set all night he's still sleeping" Olivia said.
"Remember the doctors appointment is today at two pm" Layla said. "I'll be sure to meet you at the doctor's office Lala" Olivia said. The women said their goodbyes before hanging up. Today was the day Layla finds out what she's having.
Olivia and Layla have been planning a baby shower for weeks. Layla's family is coming to town to join the fun. The only family she has left is her sisters and grandparents. Her grandparents were the only ones who raised Layla and her sisters. She was seven when her grandparents took custody of her and her sisters.
Layla was the only one out of her sisters that was a junkie like her parents. The other two were clean like whistles, until it came to alcohol they were ugly.
Each year on Laylas anniversary of her sobriety. Layla grew emotional on how far she's come. Being sober isn't easy not like a walk in the park. The week before Ben arrived was Laylas first sobriety anniversary.
Each year since the first year of her sobriety. They throw Layla a party, inviting everyone they know. Olivia didn't want her wife to feel alone on this special day. Tonight was that night where they would celebrate Laylas sobriety.

Ben woke up around one pm, when he did Olivia dropped him off at the bakery. Layla was waiting for Olivia to get there to go to the doctor's appointment.
Layla followed Olivia out to the car, before making it into the car. Olivia gave Layla a sweet kiss. "What was that for" Layla asked. Olivia moved a piece of hair from her wife's eyes. "I'm so proud of how far you've come on being sober Lala" Olivia said.
Olivia opened the car door for her pregnant wife. "But who's going to run the bakery Liv" Layla asked. "I'm promoting Randy when we get back" Olivia said.
Arriving at the Obgyn, Olivia helped Layla out of the car. "What if the doctor can't find the sex of our baby" Layla asked. "I'm sure she will get a perfect picture of our baby" Olivia said. Entering the office Layla signed in then sat down next to Olivia.
"I feel bad that we lied to Ben about this appointment" Layla said.
"The baby shower is coming up don't feel too bad darling" Olivia said.
Olivia held her anxious wife's hand. Layla never really liked doctors, neither did Ben. Five year old Layla was left at a doctor's office by her drug addicted dad.

Soon enough the nurse called Layla and Olivia back. The two walked back to the exam room. The nurse took Laylas vitals and asked a few questions, before beginning the ultrasound.
"This may be a little cold Layla"
She applied the ultrasound wand to Laylas belly, the cold jelly met her belly. Layla squeezed her wife's hand as the nurse looked around her belly.
Layla was nervously looking at the screen. She wanted to know the sex of the baby so bad it hurt. Olivia eagerly waited for what the nurse had to say. A smile was on the nurses face "would you like to know the sex of your baby" She asked.
""It seems that you are having a baby boy congratulations moms" She said.
Laylas eyes were watering, Ben was going to be a big brother. Olivia and Layla were going to be boy moms. Olivia worried how Ben would react, he wasn't fond of change. Especially a major life change like bringing in a new baby.
