I took a step outside after that. I changed into a more casual robe and rode out of the palace, back to where my heart had always been.

I noticed a horse stop in front of our house and moved closer to see who was there. As soon as I realized it, I gasped in surprise, and uncontrollable tears streamed from my eyes. Oh, I wished for more. My hands drew him in closer until I could feel his chest against mine.

"Alex," I looked into his eyes, and he couldn't stop the tears from welling up. He pressed his brow against mine and sniffed, attempting to keep his tears at bay.
"I apologize. I'm sorry I abandoned you back then. I never wanted to, and I never intended to abandon you. When my father became ill, he made me promise...." I gave him a gentle kiss.
"I never had any doubts about your love. I was hoping you'd come back for us." "I've only missed you so much," I explained.
"I'm here, and I'm never going to let you go...again," he said as he clasped his fingers around mine.
His lips claimed mine once again as the fuel of desire rushed between us both. My body yielded to his demands with the rhythm of passion that swayed between us, and he had his way with me.
