Silence. Pin drop silence.
Jungkook grabbed his hair in panic and shrieked with a low voice, words being stuck in his throat at the shock he was in. He took a step ahead but lost balance, looking like he might pass out at the next step. The iron deficiency was maybe kicking in. Or it could perhaps just be him about to have a heart attack.
Whatever it is, he didn't look in good shape.
Jin was the first to move ahead and grab Jimin by his arm, squeezing it a little and eyeing me for help. We both held him in our control once again. But there was nothing that could be done to undo this. Fortunately, the rest of the crowd didn't pay attention to this drama since they were all settled down for dinner.
There was absolute horror in all of our eyes that was glued to a completely still Alex Dinova.
"Didn't think a sandwich would taste good after being slammed on the face" Alex chuckled, taking a tomato sliding down his cheeks and tasting it.
"I see you are a little drunk, young man. Next time I'd appreciate it if you would go for the handshake instead. But don't worry about it" he continued, wiping his face with a tissue, still smiling about all this.
Was that a genuine forgiveness smile, or a, I will have your throat later smile.
"Mr. AlexâIâI can explainâIâ" Jungkook pulled himself together and moved closer to the man who still smelled like chipotle sauce. He bowed a few times and kept apologizing nonstop.
"Wait I need to tell him how good his movie Grandeur hotel was" Jimin spoke, completely messing up my word of advice for him and landing at this tragedy. He fought our grip but this time I wasn't going to let him go.
"You've caused enough damage already, Park Jimin, we are leaving this second" I commanded, pulling him towards the entrance.
"Let me help you"
"It's okay, I can take him home. Please, just be beside Jungkook. He will need all your help"
Jin nodded and I knew just physical strength wouldn't be enough to take him to my car. People started giving us the weird looks. I mean, I don't blame them. I was a grown woman, dragging a grown man who had his feet pressed to the marble floor and swipe it clean with his brand-new Prada shoes that made squeaky noises.
"Jimin! I do not have the energy for this today. I swear to god, if you do not follow me out then, then..." I spoke, looking for the right bait. "Then I will burn down the TV at home!" I threatened and he gasped which also made him let out a hiccup before raging back at me.
"You will have to face the wrath of the social media God!"
"I will if I have to. Unless you come out of here with me, Jimin. Look at you! You can't stand straight or talk properly. We need to move!"
"Promise me you won't burn down my epitome of knowledge then!" he drunk spoke, pushing out a pinky. Without wasting any time, I connected my finger with his and pulled him towards the entrance. This time he didn't throw a tantrum like a five-year-old outside a candy shop, rolling and swiping across the floor for a colorful, full of sugar, death lollipop. Remind me why kids like that again, it tastes like ass and takes ages to finish or break through it.
I could see the entrance door at a distance. With heavy breaths and a quicker pace, I walked with Jimin in my grasp through the crowd of people who were entering in a hurry. As I rushed, people kept bumping their shoulders onto mine. It took all my strength to hold Jimin in that traffic. If it wasn't for my hand clutching onto his sleeve, I would have lost him to the crowd already.
"Okay, now we just need to get to the parking andâARHHHâWait what!" I did have Jimin in my custody is what I thought. No! I was sure I did. But when I turned around, I was met with a complete stranger who was dragged outside by my mighty grip on his sleeve. His clueless expression was absolutely priceless. The man looked at me and then back at my hand that tightly held his sleeve.
"I'm sorry. I accidentallyâ" I spoke, not looking into his eyes, rather trying to find where I had lost Jimin at. There was no doubt he was back inside. The drunk Demon must be stopped at any cost before he does something way worse than humiliate the guest of honor. "I'm so sorry. Please, excuse me" after another apology I rushed back inside, searching for a wobbling man.
Just a little away from the entrance, I could spot someone near the mini open-aquarium, and there was no doubt it was Jimin by the way he was talking so casually with the fishes.
"Jimin! Let's go!" I once again grabbed his hand, pulling him but this time he didn't budge. Jimin snatched his hands away from me and pressed it on the aquarium glass along with his entire face, with his lips and nose probably looking weird for the people on the other end of the glass. I could tell even the fishes moved away at the new sea creature.
"I can't believe I finally found you. Your dad's been looking everywhere for you" he cried, poking the glass, pointing at the small clown fish. "He searched the entire ocean for you. Here, let me take you home poor thing" He continued, but this time submerging his hands inside the tank to cup the fish between his palms.
"Oh my god! Jimin stop! Put the fish back!! I beg you this time pleaseeee!!!" I pleaded with my hands pressed together towards his face when he took the fish out of the water. Jimin payed no attention to my words and his royal attention was caught on something else. The fish, when the water inside his palms drained, leaped out, flopping on the ground to its death.
"What am I doing. I came here to treat people. I didn't sign up for this" I mumbled, looking like a complete fool trying to catch the slippery body of the fish and finally tossing it back into the tank. "If I don't get a raise after this. I quit!" I yelled with my hands made into a fist.
The fire in me didn't last long before I figured I lost track of Jimin again. But to my luck, he was only a few feet away from me. The Demon was searching through the pile of anime products that was exhibited next to the reception. And just when I was about to grab him again, Jimin grabbed a Pokemon ball and threw it at the first person he saw.
"I choose you, Suga!" He yelled, throwing the ball that hit the head of the other Demon whom didn't look very thrilled about it.
"What. Did. You. Just. Do. Park. Jimin" Yoongi raged, putting powerful clarity to every word he spoke.
"Oh no! Bad Pokemon! Bad Pokemon" Jimin flinched, moving back at every step Suga took to him.
"Please, Yoongi, there are people watching us. He's completely drunk. You both can settle this later" I pleaded, holding Yoongi back.
"Fine!" he unwillingly surrendered, eyes and jaws tightening at Jimin. "Eat this for now" Yoongi sided his head to his right like a snap and Jimin's hands automatically folded into a fist and punched himself on the face, leading him to fall straight on his face.
"You're right, he's very drunk" Yoongi smirked as he gave me an excuse to his little trick and I rolled my eyes, ignoring his 'I didn't do it' face.
"You got trouble coming" Yoongi warned, eyeing the security guards that were searching for a mad man who caused them all this trouble of getting fired. "They might do an identity check on you and ask for proofs. You might have trouble explaining Jimin's. I suggest you get out of here. But even the entrance is now guarded. Good luck" he finished, walking away from us and disappearing into the crowd.
I didn't have many options or the advantage and luxury to think. Out of everything I could think of, there was only one way out of here. I hated the idea. I hate it more than anything but I was left with no choice. Hesitantly, with Jimin in my custody, I moved inside an empty table that had a nylon sheet spread across the table top and covering the legs on the furniture till the floor. Giving us the perfect spot to hide. Being inside a thin fabric, I could see shadows moving towards us. Which made it obvious to me someone had spot us. Now there is no going back. I have to get him out of here. And the only option shining in front of us was Jimin's teleportation skills.
"Look, I need you to focus for me okay! We need to get out of here. Take us somewhere other than this hotel, Jimin"
"Anywhere?" he reconfirmed and I nodded. Jimin's eyes were still tripping and lost at times. His cheeks were pink from all the alcohol but now he seemed to collect himself a little bit. I repeat, a little bit.
"Well then, there is a place I want to go this time. I searched it up and found it. Is that okay?"
Jimin's decisions about anything worried me. But right now, what worries me more is getting Jimin exposed to those security guards who apart from not understanding his identity, might even accidentally come across some of his powers in this state he is at. I kept looking at the approaching figures and then back into the eyes of the man that had his entire life being lived in misery. With every second that passed by, my heart was racing at the end of my decision. But panic got the best of me when I saw fingers moving inside the sheet to lift it open.
"Anywhere is fine. Just go!" I silently screamed and Jimin tightened his hands on mine, closing his eyes shut and I followed.
