Grizel moves the stone coffin, she is looking for her bonus items buried underneath the coffin.
Creaack!
The sound of a heavy boulder shifting is echoed through the treasury room.
"Ah, Gotcha"
Grizel takes out a small treasure box, she opened the box and see 2 daggers and a white crystal-like stone similar to the red one on the skeleton's chest. The daggers are black with a hint of silver ornaments at each edge, the sharp pattern at the grip makes it look more fierce.
This is her bonus item, an ancient weapon, and the white crystal-like stone. The daggers are called twin daggers because both of these were created for someone who has mastered dual-dagger art, which was the shadow of the First Emperor.
When Grizel awakened her Rogue Class, her main combat style is dual daggers art and illusion as the support magic, but due to her tremendous strength and the decrease quality in weapons compared to ancient weapons, all her daggers shattered easily.
Now, she finally lay her hands on ancient twin daggers perfect for her dual daggers art.
'Master, ancient weapons recognized their owners by performing soul contract'
Athena explained to Grizel about the soul contract with the ancient weapons.
'Like the one that I did when I got this artifact?'
'Yes'
'If I am not mistaken, you said that objects tied by soul contract will follow the owner's soul? Then why did it remain here when the owner, the shadow of the First Emperor died?'
'Just like the first Emperor's ancient swords in his coffin, I believe both the Emperor and the shadow erased their ownership of the weapons before dying, normally ancient weapons and the owners are like inseparable partners, it was quite generous of them to leave their weapons behind for their descendants'
'Hhmm...'
'That's it? Master, you have to be more gratefu-'
Drop!
Drop!
Grizel drops her blood to the twin daggers casually.
'Ah, whatever'
Athena's sulky tone didn't reach Grizel who is admiring the shining daggers.
The daggers are floating in the air while emitting a silver flash before its sink and becomes a tiny dual dagger tattoo.
"Wow, my first tattoo at the age of 8"
Grizel chirped while staring at the crossing dual daggers tattoo on her wrist.
Ancient weapons possessed the owner's body through the tattoo as the symbol of the ownership and only change into their physical appearance when summoned.
Grizel smiled in satisfaction with her newly equip weapons, she gets up while putting her white crystal-like stone into the spatial storage, she moved the coffin back to the original position.
In the novel, this tomb was discovered by the Cronus Temple, the sole religion exists in this world. The temple emptied the treasure chamber except for the hidden box underneath the coffin because the novel said they missed it.
When the Emperor found the empty tomb, he was in a rage and dispatched all the Imperial shadow brigade to investigate the thieves.
Unfortunately, they didn't find anything and the diplomatic relationship between the Azure empire with the other monarchies is severed due to the suspicion of one another, afterwards, the temple takes that chance to raise their power and influence by using the resources found at the tomb.
Grizel planned to take only the main treasure map, the hidden bonus items, and a little portion of the gold to prevent the same result as the novel.
'Excessive greed is not good'
Grizel thought inwardly, proud of her self resistance among these shining golds and jewelry.
'But, Master. You take the main items, these treasures are nothing but bullcrap compared to what you take'
Grizel's proud smile vanished in a second, this Athena seems to have a new hobby, to sour the joyous mood.
Before leaving the tomb Grizel stands next to the coffin, she holds both her hand as if praying respect to the first Emperor.
'Elder, thank you for the heritage'
'Master, you are not his descendants'
'Tch, it's better than being robbed by the Temple'
Grizel turned around from the coffin, she could see Lucy is still frozen in her position, she taps her shoulder to bring her soul back.
"Let's go, Lucy"
"Huh?"
Lucy, who finally regained her conscious frowned and asked her Lord.
"My Lord, why didn't you take anything?'
Grizel looks towards Lucy in disbelief, Lucy didn't see what happened after stepped into the gold chamber, her mind was stopped working until Grizel tapped her shoulder.
"Do you think I come here merely to pay respect for this Elder?
"No way, My Lord is the most rapacious person ever existed"
Lucy said proudly praising Grizel as if her lord is the greatest but on contrary, Grizel is trying hard to suppress her killing intent.
"Thank you, Lucy. And to be the shadow of this great Lord, I plan to increase the level of your training"
Grizel said with the sweetest smile.
"N-no, My Lord please have mercy"
Lucy pleaded to Grizel while tailing her to climb the stairs, Grizel thought It's not a time to beat, no, to train the stupid maid yet.
She needs to make sure this treasure ended up in the Imperial family's possession to prevent the diplomatic severance and the rising power of the temple, though, the main item has been stolen.

Yawn...
"We drunk too much last night, I am not even fully sober yet"
"Yeah, this kind of festive atmosphere is the first time since the late Empress passed away"
2 guards are chatting while patrolling around the palace right before dawn, their faces are a mess and look more like a drunkard than a reliable imperial guard.
"I know our prodigious Prince will succeed in awakening but to be awakened in Warrior Class, as expected of our future Emperor"
"I think it's only a matter of time until the prince takedown those western rebels"
They chirped in excitement, Warrior Class is a dream class for every knight, master of strength and durability, showered with pride and dashingly lead the armies.
A perfect class for the future ruler of the empire.
'Master, are you sure to leave the tomb information in the hands of those drunkards?'
Grizel feels hesitant but has no choice but to trust these unreliable guards, she was waiting for someone to deliver the message of the tomb to the Emperor directly and naturally as if newly discovered tomb, and decrease the chance of the Temple's spy to hide the tomb as she did.
"My Liege, should I go to the Emperor's chamber and wake him up?"
Lucy is spewing another nonsense with her serious face.
"It will be more suspicious if we tell him directly"
Sigh...
Grizel snapped her fingers to erase her illusion that enveloped the whole meadow. An image of the tomb covered by a thin shield is suddenly revealed, Grizel put back the weak version of the ancient seal to make the Emperor certain that the tomb is newly discovered.
Gasp...
Their jaws dropped in disbelief, and rubbed their eyes many times.
"Ouch, why did you pinch me?"
"Stupid! It means we are not dreaming!"
"Pinch yourself you basta- oh, God. It's real!"
"R-ring the bell, hurry up, I'll go to tell Captain"
Instantly, the red face of drunkards are replaced with pale blue, they are running hurriedly in different directions while grasping the situation, these guards are people who are trained to act accordingly in urgency.
Ding-Dong!
Ding-Dong!
Ding-Dong!
The sound of the largest bell of the palace echoed through every inch of the capital city, waking up the residents in confusion and anxiety, including the Emperor and the Crown Prince.
"Your Majesty, may I come in?"
It's the sound of the Emperor's only son, Rex, his nervousness is decreased a little bit by hearing his son's voice, his biggest concern is Rex's safety after the sudden loud sounds of the palace bell, but before he burst into his son's chamber, Rex is quicker.
"Come in"
The guards stationed at the entrance of the Emperor's chamber open the door for the prince. Rex entered the room and observe his father, looking at his fine father, he sighs in relief.
"Father, what happened?"
"I am not su-"
But before the Emperor finished his sentence, someone is trying to barge into his chamber.
"Halt, state your business"
"I-i need to report immediately"
Emperor Drake stopped the 2 guards who block the intruder with the crossing spears, he observed the pale face in front of him, he knows that face, the Chief of the Imperial Guard.
"Chief of the Imperial Guard, tell me what happened"
His majestic aura makes the anxious guards lower their spears, they know it was their chief, but it was their duty to prevent an intruder from barging into the Emperor's chamber whoever it is.
The chief of the Imperial Guard who has confirmed the report of his 2 subordinates before rushing to the Emperor started to speak in a stuttering voice.
"T-the tomb of the F-first Emperor is d-discovered"
"WHAT?!"
To be continued...
