Levi shouted when a giant black metallic horned-serpent charged towards Grizel who is standing in the deepest part of the Forest of Demise.

The sound of 2 solid things crash into each other, it's one of the 3 strongest monsters in the Forest of Demise called the black metal serpent as it banging onto Levi's sturdy barrier.
"How dare you to charge blindly towards the Lord I served with that filthy body of yours!"
Levi said in anger, a cowering malnourished boy has turned into a splendid teenager in these 2 years of training as a proper Warrior class awakener under Grizel's command, he has grown much taller and has firm shoulders with a straight body posture.
Grizel sighed in silence.
'Just when I thought I finally found a normal companion, it turns out another twisted person. Hhmm... did I raise him wrong?'
After observing Levi in these past 2 years, Grizel concludes that this boy is not normal either, He is a reliable and calm perfect Butler, his quick-witted brain make him a fast learner, his loyalty, and the graceful behavior befitting a high-class servant even praised by sir Roze, the famous strict Head Butler of the Von Belial family who became Levi's role model as an excellent Butler.
Everything was flawless until the day of their first training in the forest of Demise 3 months after he arrived at the mansion, Grizel bought him to train after he gained some weight and a healthy body.

In the novel, Levi admired his Savior which is the Crown Prince, and the Prince's dashing dual sword combat style, growing as Prince Rex's loyal subordinate while staying next to him all the time, he unconsciously mimicking the prince's combat style like a duckling trying to imitate his mother then decided to wield dual swords.
He couldn't move as fast as the prince, and his agility also much lower than any average Warrior class awakeners, even if lacking in attack but he was a very tough opponent and hard to deal with, different from the Prince who possesses a dual sword ability, Levi's awakened ability was called Fast Recovery, that's why he managed to survive the kidnapping attempt then killed the kidnappers and still breathing after beaten up severely by the people at the slums.
'No matter how you look at it, he is definitely a Tanker warrior'
Grizel sighed inwardly, Levi is the opposite of an attacker like that prince, his potential was buried by his blind admiration, yet still managed to become a general due to his quick-witted brain and hard work, a tanker mimicking an attacker is harder than mastering his own ability.

Warrior class awakeners always served as the main attractions of the people because of their fair and clear fighting style, on the contrary, Rogue class awakeners moved stealthily in silence.
To prevent the same thing as the novel and to pull his full ability out, Grizel cut off his wish to use dual daggers.

Thankfully, Levi grasped her intention quickly and learn how to be a tanker wholeheartedly to protect his Lord.

The blessing of Erebus is Shadow, Lucy could blend into the darkness and become a shadow, her favorite place is Grizel's shadow while staying next to her Lord.

A fast two-headed lion charged towards the 3 humans in the den of monsters.

A scythe tattoo on Lucy's wrist shined as she summoned her ancient weapon, a black scythe warped with blue rose and golden leaves carvings crossed in front of Grizel to protect her.
Not far from Lucy, Levi is standing firmly with a huge barrier befitting the position as the shield.
Grizel observed their back silently while holding her laughter.
'Just a moment ago these 2 are bickering on each other, but they sync in perfect formation without my command when the danger comes'
'They are like real siblings, acting like mortal enemies on the surface but protect each other in action'

Grizel is startled by the traumatic kaboom sound and peeks at the source of the commotion.
Levi's barrier pressed the two-headed lion on the ground until the body of the monster exploded mercilessly.
"Eww! That's nasty. Why don't you use the sword barrier to slash it cleanly?"
Lucy said with a disgusted expression when Levi nonchalantly answered.
"An easy death is not fit for those who tried to harm my Lord"
"Hhmm... Indeed, you did great"
Lucy nodded as she showed her two thumbs up for him, but Grizel facepalmed to the absurd Duo.
'Unexpectedly the mortal enemies agreed with each other upon this stupid thing'
Levi looked at the moon, based on the position of it, midnight has passed and the day has changed when they hunting earlier.
"My Lord, it's not much but please accept this birthday present from me"

Lucy added but ignored by him, Levi took out a small box from his ancient spatial silver ring which warped with the red ruby snake cravings, it was the ancient items Grizel gave to him along with the Stone of God.

Grizel put the silver hairband decorated with the blue sapphire ornaments shaped like Iris flower.
"It perfectly matches with your hair and eyes colors, so beautiful!"
Lucy chirped happily and Levi nodded in agreement.

They said warmly in unison.
"Thank you, Lucy, Levi. But don't forget my 10th birthday is the starting line of the upcoming storm"
