"The Azure Empire may perish"
Hearing his father shaking, Rex unconsciously raised his voice.
"Father?!"
Rex tried to reach his father but was stopped by Grizel, it will only result in another mess if Rex sees the list at his father's hand right now in his panic state.
She calmed Rex down before gets up and kneels in front of the Emperor, holding his hand while activating her calming aura filling the room.
"It's alright father, Rex and me, we are here to prevent it from happening"
The shocked Emperor finally calmed down after hearing the reassuring voice of his future daughter-in-law.
He patted her head while smiling, Rex also has come to his sense after seeing his father's pale face back to normal.
Dion who was scared if the shock will affect the Emperor's health heaved a sigh of relief, even the devil can quell the Emperor in his dread state.
"Thank you and I am sorry, it was unsightly of me to lose my composure as the oldest one here"
Emperor Drake said in ashamed to be seen as a vulnerable ruler in front of the future Emperor and Empress.
"Father, is the situation that dire?"
Rex asked in a serious tone then started to get anxious when his father nodded helplessly but calm, Grizel back to her sit but still emitting a calming aura to prevent any other panic attack during the discussion.
Emperor Drake gives his sons the list of the culprit's name.
"Haaaa..."
Rex sighed, he has expected to find one or two big names on the list, but he was naive, the name of the culprits and their backers are far bigger than he could imagine.
Just like his father, he couldn't fully hide his tremor but still managed to relax as he holds Grizel's hand tightly, Rex feels like he could overcome the impossible situations as long as Grizel is next to him, to support and help in any approaching disasters, though, in the future, she may be the one who causes the most of his headaches.
Slowly but surely her presence becomes a precious irreplaceable thing he wants to cherish for all his life.
'Everything is alright, Grizel is here with me, she is next to me, I can feel her warmth through our intertwined hands'
Sigh...
Rex let out a long sigh still holding her hand, hesitate to let it go. Drake just smiles when he sees the future Emperor and Empress work together and look strong to overcome this crisis.
"I will never let them mess my Empire"
Grizel said as her sapphire eyes look at the Emperor firmly like a knight who will depart for a war to defend her beloved hometown.
"Yes, that's the spirit"
The Emperor chirped encouraging, he has no idea of her declaration and thought it was a symbol of loyalty towards the empire.
"Pfft... Hahahahaha"
"What's wrong, son?"
He asked the one who suddenly burst into laughter, Dion who is aware of her evil nature facepalmed helplessly.
'I can't believe this fearless devil claimed this empire as hers in front of the current and future Emperor'
The confused Drake who only knows about Grizel's manipulative intelligence and doesn't aware of the demon behind the angelic face didn't know the true meaning of her words, but it's not the case for Rex and Dion, for them, it sounds like...
'I will crush those who dare to touch MY belonging'
"Never mind, Father. Seeing her determination put me at ease that I accidentally let out my relief laughter"
"Hahaha indeed, she is such a reliable fiancee"
The dreadful atmosphere vanished as they start the discussion with cool heads.
Thanks to Grizel, it was as clear as the day who are their hidden enemies, but still, Emperor Drake, Prince Rex, and Dion couldn't find why are these big names targeting the Azure empire.
"They are trying to divide the Azure Empire from both of the inside and the outside"
Grizel said casually, she glances at the list of the enemies, 3 names of influential nobles of Azure empire were written on the list, but it wasn't enough to make the strongest empire perished, the biggest problem is their backers.
Crimson Empire, Raven Empire, and Cronus Temple.
These 3 are the strongest figures of authority in the Western continent, different from the Azure empire which is located in the East part of the map, these 2 empires that support the rebels didn't have strong diplomatic relations with Azure due to the long-distance separation between the Eastern and Western Continent.
"We, Easterners might not be religious believers of the Cronus Religion like those Westerners, but we didn't hold any hostility against each other either, then why?"
Rex asked in confusion, though there are a few branch temples in the Azure empire, the Grand Temple of the Cronus religion is located on the Western continent along with the Crimson and the Raven Empires where most of the believers are living in.
The 3 of them have a very close friendly relationship as the same believers of the Cronus religion, unlike the Azure Empire who has no national religion.
However, the Azure's people didn't deny the existence of the Temple or their Gods either, they still respect the priests who were sent by the temple to spread the word of Gods as believers.
"Then why?"
That is what Prince Rex is asking a moment ago, why are they aiming at the Azure Empire? They are not a slight minor in terms of prosperity.
Temple of Cronus dominated over Holy Class Awakeners and medical knowledge.
At the same time, the Crimson Empire is the land of mines, the house of all top quality jewels and minerals.
Last is the mysterious Raven Empire, the territory of magic, advanced magic tools and magic researchers are not uncommon in this nation.
"I don't think the reason is only because we don't share the same beliefs, there might be something else, something big that could make the 3 big nations join hands to scheme against us"
Emperor Drake mumbled by himself while thinking but the others who listen to him are also nodded in agreement.
The real reason for the westerners to form a union and aims at the Azure seemingly wasn't as simple as religion.
"Regardless of their reasons, but I believe that I have figured out their core plans to divide this empire"
All the eyes in the room look at Grizel in disbelief, it wasn't part of the contract to reveal their plan since she only promised to give the identity of the enemies.
'Azure Empire is my territory'
Grizel said inwardly, she was reluctant to share this information since half of it didn't have any evidence yet, most of her assumption is based on her prediction and the events that occurred in the plots of the novel [Love of the War Prince].
The chain of rebellion, coup d'etat, betrayal, the death of the Emperor, and all of the discordance within the Azure Empire resulted in the rise of the War Prince, Abigor Ãedán Rex Von Royale Azure as the Male Lead of the weird novel.
He went through various wars before earning his title as the War Prince without knowing the true culprits behind the scheme, the prodigious prince was deceived even before he was born into the world.
It was a well-planned scheme that been started long ago, long before the Male Lead, Heroine, and The Villainess are born, their roles are already decided from the moment of their first breath.

I just want to say that I am very sorry that I couldn't catch up on my daily update any more...

Along with the end of the quarantine time, my activities keep on increasing, no, more like it back to normal.
During quarantine time, I started to write this story to relieve my boredom and updating every day (even twice a day) since I have nothing else to do.
And before I get the fixed schedule, I will continue to update every 2-3 days.
I'm sorry for this late announcement, especially for those who are waiting for my update.
But there is no need to worry about the continuation of this story since I have noted down the whole plot and the end of the story before I started writing, I just need spare time to write the chapters, unfortunately, time is the main issue here... Ugh.
24 hours a day is not enough for me,
