Grizel whispered praising him as she was enjoying the show, Rex is back to his fiance after helping the Duke as the gentle prince should do.

"Ha, it thanks to a certain troublemaker I became this professional in handling the aftermath of the mess"

Rex snorted in sarcasm to the nonchalant main culprit who is the source of his headache more than those traitors.

"Ahem, I think we shall begin the procession of exchanging rings between the Crown Prince and the Crown Princess"

Drake said without hesitation declaring Grizel as the Crown Princess even if the wedding ceremony needs to wait in 4 years when Rex officially became an adult on his 16th birthday, and 2 more years to be able to sleep in the same chamber when Grizel reached the age of 16 and Rex is 18 years old just like their old custom of early marriage.

The Emperor gives the gesture for Rex and Grizel to exchange the rings.

'Athena'

Grizel called her annoying blessing before the procession of exchanging rings began.

'Yes, master'

'You know what to do, right?'

Grizel might agree with this customary of the cursed heirloom to solidify her right for the Empress position but that doesn't mean that she will accept it as the way it is.

Satisfied with the answer, she smiled as Rex took the Empress ring which has a smaller size and put it on Grizel's left-hand finger, repeating the same thing, Grizel took the bigger one and put it on his finger, both rings were too big for them as they are not even adults yet.

"Now, drop your blood on each other's ring"

Drake instructed as Dion holds a small luxurious knife for both Rex and Grizel to use, they look at Dion as they dropped their blood onto each other's ring

For some reason, Dion looks sadder than Judas did, as if he also needs to bid an eternal farewell to his sweet dream because of this cursed engagement.

A sudden blinding light filled the hall, the loose rings adjust to the size of Rex and Grizel's fingers as the burst of memories flowing like a huge surge of flood into their minds.

Ba-thump!

Rex widens his eyes in shock, his body is slightly trembling with the number of memories getting to his mind like a burst of flood, he is witnessing the life experience of his fiance in both of her life.

More than anyone could have known, he got all of her inner thoughts and feelings, now, no one knows about Grizel better than him.

If the concept of Yin and Yang vividly separates black and white, she is a total Grey.

A mixture of both colors as she never hesitates to use the black to stain the white, or use the white to suppress the black.

She will use anything to achieve her goals regardless of the color of the methods.

She is both the heroine and the villainess to the world, and as the one who understands her feelings the most, Rex could see that she felt nothing, neither guilty nor pleasure can be sensed from her regarding her evil deeds, she was a huge egocentric person who won't take her precious time to think about other's feelings.

This merciless fiancee won't even spare a second thought to get rid of him if he started to be a burden to her.

Compared to the mess she created in her past life, the current state of chaos is just the beginning of her whole schemes, she even already began to build her own power and wealth through her wisdom to eliminate those who stand in her way even if it means she had to erase the whole Western mainland, she won't hesitate to do it.

Rex realized it was too humble of him to say she is a troublemaker...

A feeling of excitement surge into his heart messing with his already-chaotic heartbeats, the kind-hearted Prince couldn't maintain his gentleness anymore.

The Emperor along with the nobles startled by the sudden spurt of lunatic laughter that comes from the gracious Prince who seems like he's losing his mind.

Without caring about the stares of confusion towards him, Rex bends down on a knee gently pulling Grizel's hand.

"In the name of Gods and the Azure ancestors, I..."

"Abigor Áedán Rex Von Royale Azure, the Crown Prince of this Empire vows to only live and love my one and only Princess, Lagertha Grizel Von Belial..."

As Rex kiss the back of Grizel's hand, he vowed in front of everyone present who gathered from all around the Empire, this kind of news won't take a day-long to be spread all over the continent.

'...or should I say, Angela Samael'

He used telepathy to utter the last line with a playful smirk while getting up still holding her soft hand.

Grizel just stood there in silence like a statue, she could feel something that unfamiliar, something that is too human for her to understand, just like how Rex received all of her thoughts and feelings, Grizel got the same things, and among those, she finally understands...

His love for her.

How much Rex longed for her, wish for her attention, and desire everything about her.

He loves her more than he could say.

And through this heirloom, she understands the unspoken feelings as well as the owner of it.

A tingling sensation spread into her heart, this is new for Grizel, but she can't deny its existence. Unlike Rex who could show his affection openly, she needs time to adjust to this unfamiliar humanly feeling.

Grizel comes back to her sense after hearing the Emperor, he hugs both of them tightly with teary eyes before sitting on his throne giving a space for the other nobles to congratulate them.

The swarms of people started to surround the beautiful couple who just become the official inheritors of the Emperor and Empress' throne.

Rex and Grizel pushed aside their thoughts about the effects of the curse for now to greet the nobles in a flawless manner, as the greedy nobles give up their ambitious plan to set Rex and their daughter in a political marriage, now they started to fawn over Rex and Grizel to gain their favor, though, some people are also genuinely wishing for their happiness like Marquess and Marchioness Béchamour.

Grizel and Rex sit on the throne for the Crown Prince and Princess right next to the Emperor after receiving the congratulations and greetings from the nobles.

'Phew! Grizel, are you alright? It was quite exhausting even for... Ah!, I forgot as Angela you greeted more than this as the Ambassador of world pea- pfft'

Rex said using their newly gain ability, telepathy. It was quite convenient to speak without worrying about eavesdropping, looking at the indifferent Grizel, he added with a serious tone.

'Your reincarnation, it is weird, isn't it?'

'I know, my death didn't seem normal, the theory of reincarnation didn't match for it, rather than being reincarnated, it more likely that I've been dragged here forcefully by something or someone, do you have any opinion regarding this matter?'

Grizel answered back using telepathy for the first time, who knows Rex might have a clue about it since Athena has some locked information that couldn't be accessed yet.

Rex never heard anything about reincarnation if he didn't have Grizel's memories since in this world they have different beliefs of the deads, and reincarnation is none of them.

Grizel said bewildered, Athena is the source of knowledge yet never once mentioned about this forbidden magic means only one thing, this information is still considered as a restricted knowledge for Grizel.

'Yes, but unfortunately, it was only mentioned in a brief description as the magic that needs sacrifice in the process...'

As if struck by the lightning, Grizel and Rex widened their eyes realizing something in unison as their mind and heart connected.

'Is it possible that the real Grizel exists and she was the sacrifice of the forbidden magic to summon me into this world?'

'Most likely, it explained your weird death'

Rex replied, Angela Samael was only sleeping before she suddenly awake in the body of Grizel after reading that suspicious novel, there's a possibility that she wasn't reincarnated here due to her death but otherwise...

She died because her soul was forcefully summoned into this world.

'Why do you think the culprit summoned me here?'

'To give you a new playground for you to mess?'

Rex said innocently as if it was normal for Grizel to run havoc anywhere.

'What? anyone who sees your memories would think the same as me, that's your specialty after all'

Rex added without any restraint in front of his devil fiancee, the wall between the two seems to crack when they were trapped by the curse of the heirloom, Rex knows she won't erase him as long as he didn't stand in her way.

Grizel only sighed not responding.

There must be a purpose for her summoning regardless of who was the culprit, random or not, the culprit might have a reason to summon one's soul from a far different world, but one thing for sure, it wasn't a malicious intent as the culprit also planted Athena's blessing for Grizel to survive in this world with Athena's wisdom and knowledge.

As for why didn't the culprit make a contact with her after the summoning, there are 2 possibilities of it, he doesn't want to meet Grizel or...

He can't.

Grizel sighed once again, solving a question leads her to other questions, putting it aside, she needs to take care of the traitors first.

'Hehe, sharing our thoughts with only the two of us is like a dream'

Rex giggled blissfully, finally gaining a place where there are only he and his beloved fiancee, his happiness couldn't be hidden as he added.

'Talking to you anytime like we were an inseparable married couple, I don't even know if this heirloom is a curse or a blessing'

But soon his nonexistent beautiful dream is shattered into pieces as he heard someone else's voice.

Athena proudly greeting the stunned pitiful Prince who just lost his beautiful fantasy, now he is making the same expression as Dion who lost his peaceful dream as well.

Looking at Rex's miserable face, Grizel accidentally let out a chuckle with her voice making Emperor Drake who sits on the throne next to her displayed a questioning look at the sudden laugh.

"Grizel?"

Drake asked his future daughter-in-law making sure everything is alright.

"Please pardon my ill manner Your Majesty, I was enjoying the conversation through the newly gained ability"

"Ah! It's alright, enjoy your pleasing chat"

As if understood what's the meaning behind her words, Drake nodded happily thinking that Grizel's chuckle is a sign of her enjoying the chat with his son through telepathy didn't know that his only son is on the verge of crying out of frustration.

'Master, I've found the information about the curse in the hidden history of the Dwarven race'

'Great, as expected of my reliable partner'

Grizel has several ways to deal with the curse, including her purification magic, but the risk is too high for her to try it on the heirloom directly, if succeeds her magic may purify the whole curse and turned the Azure heirloom into nothing but expensive jewelry without any power.

To prevent such a ruckus, the first thing to do is to investigate the origin of the heirloom and search for information about the curse, and that kind of job is perfect for none other than Athena.

'The Dwarf King inscribed the mechanism of the curse in case of emergency but the script became a long-lost knowledge due to the Void Ages to the world but not to me'

If only Athena has a physical body, she might speak in a proud puffed chest showing an annoying smug smile.

'Now I can control the curse as you wish, Master'

'Good, but no need to erase the curse, just temporarily block all effects except for the telepathy'

'Okay, Mas-'

'Wait, no, Grizel'

Before Athena finished her reply, the speechless Prince finally comes to his sense and barged in.

Rex was horrified by Grizel's sudden order to Athena, it wasn't fair to leave him alone with the curse after she established her position as the future Empress to the whole nation, she reaps all the benefits and now cutting the only thing that connects them by blocking the effects of the cursed heirloom.

'I did warn you, My lovely Prince. I said this curse is yours alone and not ours to bear'

'What? Ha, hahaha hahaha'

'Hahaha'

Rex just laughs it out like a broken music box as he couldn't cry in front of his truly-evil fiancee, once again she took advantage of him.

The party finally ended peacefully with Emperor Drake and Grizel's delightful expressions in contrast to both Rex and Dion's grim faces.
