chapter 1280 they will worship me

evan stood outside the training room with a bored look on his face, idly playing with the smart bracelet he had brought with him from earth.

the entire bracelet was packed with various kinds of anime, and he was scrolling through them to decide which one he should watch next with elora.

while going through the options, he glanced at sylvan and alaric from the corner of his eye. both of them stood nearby, looking awkward and unsure of what to do. nôv(el)b\\jnn

evan sneered when he noticed their discomfort but decided not to say anything.

after about five minutes, the door to the training room opened, and anastasia and ashley stepped out. following ashley was a floating transparent space bubble carrying the unconscious carla.

the moment anastasia walked out, she immediately looked at sylvan and alaric.

seeing anastasia looking at them, both of them instinctively took a step back, shrinking their necks as though trying to avoid her gaze.

ashley also glanced at them, her expression filled with disdain. she ignored them entirely, choosing not to waste any words on the duo.

earlier, after evan had dragged them out of the training room, both sylvan and alaric had attempted to use their spiritual senses to observe carla's revival process from outside.

unfortunately for them, anastasia instantly noticed their actions and retaliated with a powerful spiritual shock, leaving their minds momentarily numb and stunned.

at first, sylvan and alaric had been confused as to why anastasia had attacked them and they wanted to go in to ask her. however, when evan explained why he had brought them out of the training room in the first place, their expressions froze and they immediately calmed down.

"stupid old guys," anastasia muttered with a sneer as she approached evan.

sylvan and alaric winced at her remark but remained silent. their attention shifted to carla, who remained unconscious within the floating bubble.

anastasia and the others rolled their eyes at evan's unabashed narcissism but chose not to argue further.

sylvan, however, was deep in thought. after several minutes of silence, he finally looked at evan and asked seriously, "how confident are you in this plan?"

evan didn't answer right away. he paused, carefully considering his response. after a few moments, he raised his head and said confidently, "the chances of success are above seventy percent."

"seventy percent..." sylvan muttered under his breath.

he fell silent again, calculating the potential risks and benefits in his mind and finally, he took a deep breath and nodded.

"alright, i will help you," sylvan said. "but you need to understand—if anything goes wrong, i will immediately withdraw. i can't risk—"

"you don't have to worry about that," evan interrupted. "if something goes wrong, you won't need to do anything. i will take care of it."

sylvan nodded, reassured by evan's confidence. together with alaric and anastasia, they began discussing the finer details of the plan.

"when do you plan to take action?" alaric asked once the discussion was complete.

"in the next three to four months," evan replied without hesitation. "i need some time to settle down and improve my strength before we proceed."

"three or four months..." alaric raised an eyebrow, about to question how much improvement evan could make in such a short period.

however, recalling how evan had managed to reach mid-level rank three in such a short period, he thought better of it and decided to keep quiet.

seeing that no one had any objections to the timeline, evan smiled and stood up.

"well, since everything here is settled, i will be heading back. "
