@mixmix17 made this! That's exactly what I imagined the Divine Oracle's eye color would be.

I was so happy that Mix shared this with me and I thought you all should enjoy it too :D

Thank you Mix!

(PS: If you have your own interpretation of how Wuxian looks like as the Divine Oracle, I would love to see it)

Most of them found a way to apologize to Wuxian by the end of the next day. After a long meeting with the head of the clans, Wuxian made his way to Healer Shi to get examined and schedule his delayed healing session. They sat in silence as she gently looked him over and took notes of his condition. When she was done, she gave him a warm tea and said: "Little rabbit, I am sorry."

Wuxian shook his head: "You're saving my life. I don't think your apology is necessary."

Shi smiled sadly at him: "As your healer, I always have your best interest at heart. I took advantage of your trust and along the way forgot to ask for your permission. I took liberty with my methods, thinking it was for your benefit without considering your input. I was wrong and I will try my best to do better in the future. Will you forgive me?"

Wuxian pulls her into a loose hug and whispers: "You're like my sister. I trust you completely. I just hope you trust me enough to make the right decisions when it comes to my health."

Shi took a deep breath, enjoying his comforting smell and said: "I have good news."

Wuxian pulls away to listen to her. Shi: "You're doing very well with your treatment. We should be done in two months."

Wuxian's eyes widen: "ARE YOU SERIOUS?"

Shi chuckles: "Yes!"

Wuxian grabs her shoulders and looks into her eyes: "Two months?"

Shi's nods: "Yes, two months. As long as you continue with the set schedule and don't miss any more sessions, your container will be fixed and you will be back to normal without any pain."

Wuxian couldn't hold back the huge smile on his face. He hugged her again frantically: "Thank you!"

Shi patted his back while smiling: "Don't thank me yet. We still have two months to go."

.

The healing session went without a hitch the next day. Wuxian woke up from his nap to find Zewu Jun sitting a few paces away from his bed. He was frowning with his eyes closed. Wuxian stared at his brother for a few seconds then whispered to get his attention: "Zewu Jun?"

The older man's eyes snapped open and he smiled at Wuxian: "How do you feel?"

Wuxian rubbed his head and sighs: "A little dizzy, but overall fine."

He catches Zewu Jun eyeing Da Ziran warily: "Are you alright?"

Zewu Jun: "Is your spirit animal still mad at me?"

Wuxian was confused for a few seconds until he remembered what happened two days ago: "She's not mad at you. She was just being overprotective."

Zewu Jun slowly sits closer to Wuxian: "We need to talk."

Wuxian: "About what?"

Zewu Jun pours Wuxian a cup of water and passes it along: "I will not waste time making excuses for my misgivings. I will however promise to do better in the future. You need to promise me something too."

Wuxian: "What is it?"

Zewu Jun takes Wuxian's hand and looks seriously into his eyes: "Speak your truth, brother. Don't hold it in until we reach a point of no return. We love and cherish you like no other, we will listen if you speak."

Wuxian averts his eyes: "I didn't want to burden any of you. You've been kind and thoughtful and I feel ashamed to ask for more."

Zewu Jun: "You are no longer a guest, Wei Wuxian. You are part of our family. We depend on you as much as you depend on us. There is no shame in voicing your needs."

Wuxian smiles at Zewu Jun and says: "I will try."

After a silent moment, Wuxian asks timidly: "Where is father? I haven't seen him in a while."

Zewu Jun: "He went into the Cold Cave to meditate. He needs more time to digest what your senior disciple revealed. I am sure he will seek you when he's ready."

Wuxian purses his lips and nods.

.

Jiang Cheng found him sitting outside in Little Sanctuary, watching his daughter play with the bunnies. He quietly sat next to Wuxian in the gazebo. He hated awkward situations like this. He had two default modes: angry or bossy. Any other role required effort and premeditation. Wuxian sighs loudly: "I can hear you thinking from a mile away."

Jiang Cheng scoffs: "You're not psychic."

Wuxian reached over and punched his brother in the arm. Cheng rubs his arm: "Ouch! YOU HIT ME!"

Wuxian punched him again harder: "That's for giving my three-year-old daughter a dagger!"

Cheng covered his arm, trying to block the assault. Wuxian punched his other arm: "That's for picking fights with my soul-bond!"

Cheng screams: "STOP HITTING ME!"

He leans back, trying to get away from the aggravated man. Wuxian reached him anyways and delivered a few more punches: ".. and that's for calling me dramatic and an attention seeker!"

Cheng raised his hands: "OK! OK! STOP!"

Wuxian puts his fist up, daring him to say anything more: "You know me better than the rest of them. You have no reasonable excuse for acting like a crappy brother. Now take your punishment like a man!"

Cheng jumps up and runs away. Wuxian follows yelling: "COME HERE, YOU COWARD!"

Hweiru saw them and ran after Wuxian: "MAMA! What are we playing?"

Wuxian stopped to catch his breath and pointed at his brother: "Go! Catch your uncle!"

Hweiru nods and runs close enough to grab Cheng's robes, causing him to stumble and fall. She sat on his back to subdue him: "I GOT HIM, MAMA!"

Wuxian walks towards them, shaking his head and tsking at his brother: "A clan leader, caught by a child. I couldn't be more proud of you, Jiang Wanyin."

Cheng struggles to get up without hurting the little girl: "She's like a rabid dog!"

Wuxian pats his daughter's head: "Good girl."

He kneels to look at his brother: "Say 'I'm sorry' or I'll have her bite your ears off!"

Cheng groans and says while clenching his teeth: "I'm sorry."

Wuxian smirks: "Good boy. Now promise to never tease Lan Zhan or give any more dangerous gifts to my kids."

Cheng: "Fine! Whatever! Now tell her to get off of me!"

Wuxian puts his hand out for his daughter and she takes it, letting Cheng go.

Cheng stands up, dusts his robes while glaring at the little girl: "I thought we were friends."

Hweiru turns to look happily at Wuxian: "I listen to Mama because I'm his favorite!"

Cheng tsks: "Spoiled brat!"

Wuxian leans over and punches his arm one last time. Cheng rubs his aching arm: "WHY ARE YOU STILL HITTING ME!"

Wuxian: "Don't call my precious baby a brat!"

Cheng throws his hands in the air and walks away: "Pleasing you is IMPOSSIBLE! Why do I even bother!"

Wuxian and Hweiru chuckled over Cheng's dramatic display as he stomps his way out of Little Sanctuary.

.

That night, Wuxian called a meeting with the Twin Jades of Gusu Lan. They needed to know what happened while he was away. After telling them what his future self told him, they sat in silence trying to figure out a plan.

Zewu Jun strokes his chin, deep in thought: "Sway the Slayer?"

Wuxian sighs: "We didn't have enough time for him to explain what he meant by that."

Wangji: "Maybe he wants us to ask for his help? Since he is originally a Lan Clan member, we might be able to convince him to switch sides."

Zewu Jun: "He is a cold blooded killer who wiped entire clans before he purged his feelings to join Shenhua Clan. I doubt that convincing him is an easy feat."

Wuxian: "We must try. I think he's their strongest fighter and strategist. If we can somehow move his heart.. he might be the key to changing the future."

Zewu Jun: "Shenhua Clan is joining the clan meeting tomorrow. Let's see how they fare with the other clans before we devise any plans."
