Chapter 150
Lucas was dumbfounded by her words, but he couldnât refute it.
He subconsciously moved a few steps to stop Victoria as he saw her turning away with a stern look. He
had the unsettling feeling that she was drifting further and further away from him since two years ago.
âIs there anything else, Mr. Spritz?â Below the incandescent light, Lucas could clearly see the
frustration between her eyebrows when she glanced up at him.
He felt a sudden pang of pain in his heart, and after repeatedly trying to say something, the words
finally came out. âIf you are right, I will always be on your side.â
âHa!â she laughed coldly and mocked, âThen, Mr. Spritz, may I ask whether you ever thought your
sister was wrong?â
Lucasâ throat tightened as he said, âBeing understanding and smart from a young age, Bella has
always put othersâ needs ahead of her own. Even after you intentionally knocked her two years ago,
she refrained from filing a lawsuit against you out of concern that doing so would result in your lifelong
incarceration.â
Victoria gave him a direct look, the sarcasm in her eyes growing, but she refrained from speaking.
Lucas was one of those who just wouldnât understand, so no matter how much she said, it was simply a
waste of saliva.
Right then, footsteps approached, and a gentle male voice sounded from behind Victoria. âYou said so
much, but the only thing you want to emphasize is that you donât think your sister is ever wrong, right?â
Victoria frowned slightly and turned to look at the person.
He was dressed in a white doctorâs coat over a straight-cut suit. He had a handsome and cheerful
appearance with two large dimples on each cheek.
The night was dark and the lights were dim, yet he stood in front of her as if he was shining.
âWilliam Walker?â Lucas frowned and spoke after assessing the man.
William grinned. âItâs been seven years since I last saw you. Iâm surprised you can recognize me at
once.â
The two were classmates from kindergarten to junior high school, but William spent his first year of high
school as an exchange student in Pancada and hadnât been back since.
âMeeting in this situation is certainly not a nice thing.â Although his lips curved a little, Lucasâ eyes
showed no signs of happiness. He said, âI have something to discuss with my girlfriend. Please leave
us alone for a while.â
When Victoria heard this, her eyes grew heavy, and just as she was ready to speak, William took the
lead. âGirlfriend?â
He laughed before Lucas could react. âYou must be joking, Mr. Spritz. My aunt told me every day that
you used to always stick around Tori, but after the incident two years ago, you both became enemies.â
Lucasâ facial expression changed, and he tightened his fists a little.
After pausing for a moment, Williamâs eyebrows twitched as he continued, âWhy donât I know about
this? Since when did Tori become your girlfriend?â
Being constantly called âToriâ by a stranger, Victoria frowned but remained silent.
âThe issue between me and Victoria is none of your concern.â Lucasâ expression worsened, and he
clenched his fists tightly.
âI donât appreciate what you just said.â With his hand extended, William pulled Victoria into his arms
and added, âMy auntâor Aunt Jill, if you preferâsaid that as she wanted to introduce me to Tori to be
her boyfriend when I returned. So, as Toriâs future boyfriend, your issue with her is still within my
concern.â
Victoria initially wanted to push the man away, but when she heard that his aunt was Aunt Jill, she
stopped doing so.
âLetâs leave. Just ignore him.â She took the initiative to grasp Williamâs forearm and walked toward the
inpatient area.
Lucas wanted to continue to pester her, but she had lost her patience. She coldly remarked while
shaking her phone in front of him, âMr. Spritz, do you want me to contact Miss Spritz, Mrs. Spritz, or
Miss Palmer to tell them that you are bothering me in the hospital?â
Hearing that, he brought his already lifted foot back. His heart throbbed as he observed the scorn and
anger in Victoriaâs eyes. He felt slightly guilty and angry, but was unable to move on at the same time.
Pain and struggle flashed in his eyes. He hesitated again and again, but watched Victoria leave with
William in the end while she grabbed onto the other manâs arm.
As soon as they arrived at the inpatient area, William released Victoriaâs arm, stepped back, and
appropriately widened the space between them. Then, he said, âAunt Jill usually addresses you as Tori,
and I didnât know your name either. I hope you donât mind that I addressed you that way just now.â
âI am Victoria. Victoria Coleman.â She took a glance at his badge and asked, âYouâre Aunt
Jnovelxo.com fast updateillâs nephew who studied abroad in Pancada?â
William smiled, and his eyes appeared to have sparkles in them. âI just returned yesterday. My name is
William. William Walker.â
âThank you so much for just now,â said Victoria, her smile dying down.
âDonât be too courteous,â replied William after removing his white coat and placing it over his arm. âItâs
only a tiny effort.â
After pausing for a moment, he asked, âPlease donât mind this, but I heard from my aunt that there are
some issues with your right leg, correct?â
âJust a little.â Victoria gently retreated her right foot and remarked, âYou wouldnât know that Iâm
âdisabledâ until you actually paid attention. Itâs very obvious if you do, though.â
âYou must have gone through a lot of pain in order to train to walk normally, right?â he said softly while
looking at her leg.
âItâs alright,â Victoria simply replied, retreating her right leg again.
âIâm aware that as a new acquaintance, I may have said a bit too much. But I am a specialist in this
field, plus my aunt mentioned that you learned dancing, so I have been hoping to help you recover,â
William remarked honestly.
She then checked the time on her phone before turning to face him and said, âMr. Walker, I appreciate
your goodwill, but there is no need for that. Iâll take my leave first since someone is waiting for me.â
As soon as the words were spoken, Teresa hurriedly ran down. âTori, why are youââ
She ran closer, only to realize that a stranger was standing beside Victoria, so she stopped talking and
asked, âWho is this?â
âHello. Iâm William, Aunt Jillâs nephew. Iâm a doctor who specializes in leg issues.â William took the
initiative to introduce himself before Victoria could say anything.
When Teresa heard that he specialized in leg issues, her eyes lit up as she spoke slightly more excited
than usual. âYou specialize in that field? Can you aid Tori, then? She fractured her leg two years ago,
but a while back, a doctor claimed that it may still be cured!â
