The Awakening

Y/N woke up to the sharp scent of antiseptic. Her body ached, her wrists tingling from where she had been restrained. The room was sterile—too white, too clean, too empty. Panic surged through her veins as she tried to recall how she got here.

But her mind was blank.

A mechanical voice crackled through hidden speakers:

"Subject 07, welcome. You have been chosen for Project Genesis."

The restraints clicked open, and she shot up, her heart pounding. A metal door slid open on the opposite side of the room, and a man stepped inside.

He was… perfect.

Too perfect. His sharp jawline, piercing eyes, and lean muscular build looked almost unreal. But it wasn’t just his appearance that unsettled her—it was the way he stared at her, like he knew her.

"Subject 08, meet your mate."

The Purpose

The scientists watched from behind reinforced glass. A cold, emotionless voice echoed through the room.

"You two are genetically compatible beyond any natural match. Your offspring will be the future of evolution. You will breed, and we will document the results."

Y/N’s blood ran cold.

She whirled to face the man—Subject 08. "You’re okay with this?" she demanded.

He didn’t answer at first. His golden eyes studied her, unblinking. Then, in a voice as smooth as silk, he said, "I was made for you."

Her stomach twisted.

The Cage and the Key

Y/N refused to be their pawn. She fought back—breaking cameras, refusing food, screaming at the walls. But the scientists were patient.

They weren’t worried.

Because they knew something she didn’t.

H/N, as the scientists called him, never tried to force her. Instead, he watched, waited. He was stronger, faster, and smarter than any human, yet he never used his power against her.

Until one night, when he finally spoke again.

"You don’t understand," he murmured. "I was designed to desire you. But what I feel now…" His eyes darkened. "It’s beyond their control."

She shivered. "What are you saying?"

He took a slow step closer. "They made me love you."

She backed away, but the walls of the room caged her in.

"But now?" He tilted his head, a dangerous glint in his eyes. "Now, I want you for myself."

The Experiment Fails

The scientists started to worry.

"Subject 08 is becoming possessive. Attachment was not part of the design."

"If he continues to resist protocol, we may have to terminate him."

Y/N overheard their whispers. They were going to kill him.

She should’ve been relieved—H/N was part of this experiment, after all. But as she looked at him, standing quietly in the corner, his hands clenched into fists, she saw something new in his eyes.

Fear.

The man who had been made for her… was afraid of losing her.

That night, she made a decision.

She had to escape.

And she had to take him with her.

The Escape or the Trap?

The alarms blared as Y/N and H/N ran through the burning facility. He had killed the guards with terrifying ease, his genetically enhanced body moving like a predator.

She should’ve been scared.

But she wasn’t.

Finally, they reached the exit. The night air was cold, freedom just a step away.

But then… he hesitated.

"Come with me," he said.

Her heart pounded. "We are leaving."

He shook his head. "No. Out there, you’ll be just another human. But with me… you’ll be mine."

Her breath hitched. "You’re not free, H/N. They created you."

His golden eyes burned with something dangerous. "They created me for you."

The silence stretched between them.

Then, she turned and ran.

She ran into the night, into the unknown, her heart screaming for freedom.

She thought she had escaped.

But she was wrong.

The Experiment Never Ends

Weeks passed. Y/N built a new life, far away from the nightmare of Project Genesis. She tried to forget the facility, the scientists, and most of all—him.

But late at night, she felt his presence.

Watching.

Waiting.

Then, one night, she woke up to find him standing at the foot of her bed.

Her breath caught. "No…"

"You should know better than to run from me," H/N whispered.

She scrambled back. "You followed me?"

His lips curved into a slow, dark smile. "I told you, Y/N." His fingers trailed along her jaw, sending shivers down her spine.

"You were made for me."

Terror and something else—something forbidden—coursed through her veins.

He leaned closer, his voice a hushed promise.

"And now, you’ll never escape me again."
