Chapter One Hundred Sixteen
Ryley
We didnât get back to the pack house until late. We stayed until the restaurant closed and then we had drinks with Blakeâs brotherâinâlaw. Not that I was drinking. The men were. It was a great time and I found myself warming up to Chris. This was the first time where we had a conversation without either one of us getting angry. It was nice to see him open up to me.
I texted the boys when Blake pulled up in front of the pack house. I needed to remind Channing that he does have hockey tomorrow afternoon.
âWhat the?â Blake growled, pulling my attention up from my phone. Luca was standing out front waiting for us. There were also a few warriors hanging around the driveway.
Blake parked this truck before getting out and confronting Luca who was quickly moving toward the vehicle. I hurried up and sent my text before getting out of the truck.
âWhat do you mean heâs demanding to see her?â I heard Blake growl. I looked around wondering who he was talking about. Thereâs only one person who would be demanding to see me, but I havenât heard anything from Lisa.
I walked around the truck, looking around. Blake was still talking to Luca, but I couldnât make out what they were saying. It wasnât until my eyes locked with his that I let out a gasp, covering my mouth with my hands. Tears filled my eyes as I looked at someone I believed was killed with other members of my pack.

It had been seventeen years and he looked the same as he did the last time I saw him. I begged him to let me stay and fight. I didnât want toTM lose my best friend. The son of my fatherâs beta.
âHey Stormy,â he said, calling me by the nickname he gave me. I hadnât realized I had walked over to him.
âEli, I donât understand,â I choked, my body trembling. Before he could reach out to me. Blake was blocking him. His chest rumbled pulling me out of my shock.
âAlpha Blake, itâs good to meet you. Iâm just here to bring my Luna home.â Eli told him.
âLuna?â Blake growled, his grip on me tightened.
âI explained it all to your beta. Luna Evelyn is a part of my pack and Iâ m here to bring her home.â He said bluntly.
âYouâre the one that has been attacking Dorianâs pack,â I exclaimed, moving around Blakeâs large frame.
âItâs our pack, Stormy. But I was surprised when I saw you walking out to the spot where I believed you died with the now Luna.â He scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest.
âI was in hiding. I believed he wanted me dead,â I yelled.
âYou should have known, he was your boyfriend,â he retorted. Blake let out a growl as he balled up his fists.
âBlake, itâs fine, I deserve it,â I told him, grabbing his arm. I knew Eli was watching. I donât know if he knew Blake and I were a couple.
âBaby, no you donât,â Blake said and I shook my head.

âEli lost his family because of the choices I made.â My emotions. cracked, and tears began to stream down my cheeks. The guilt was overwhelming as I looked at Eli.
âI am so sorry, Eli.â I cried. Blake wrapped me in his arms as I buried my face into his chest, seeking out the comfort only he could give me. I heard Eli sigh.
âStormy, Iâm not here to make you feel bad about what happened. Iâm here to bring you home.â I turned out of Blakeâs chest to look at Eli.
âHome? I donât understand.â I sniffled.
âOur pack. Everyone who was able to escape.â He answered.
âYou started a new pack?â Blake asked him.
âWe did,â Eli told him.
âAnd who is your alpha,â Blake demanded, squeezing me tight. The act didnât go unnoticed by Eli.
âWe have a Luna, and Stormy here is her daughter.â I gasped, thankful Blake was holding me. My knees felt weak as I absorbed what Eli had just said.
âMy mother?â I breathed out, trying to wrap my head around that my mother was alive.
âYou donât think your father didnât have a backup plan, did you? You know the kind of shit he was into.â He explained. I pulled away from Blake. My body trembling but I needed answers.
âThen why would he separate us?â I demanded.
âTo make sure one of you survived.â He exclaimed. He pulled me

against him, wrapping his arms around me. His familiar scent wrapped around my senses. Fuck, Iâve missed him so much. Blake let out a growl, not liking me in the arms of another man.
âMom, what the hell is going on? Who the fuck is this?â Channing growled from somewhere behind me. Eli pushed me away like I was burning his skin, sending a ping to my chest.
âMom? You have a son?â Eli yelled and I flinched at his anger. I understand it, but it didnât make it hurt any less. I knew he wanted to be with me, but then I met Dorian. I didnât want to be with Eli because I didnât want to lose my best friend if things didnât work out between us. Our friendship wasnât something I was willing to lose.
âEvelyn, you fucken slept with him?â He demanded, but clearly, he could see that I had. I have his son.
âYes,â I said.
âHe was your fucken mate. Is that why you were there talking with his Luna?â He sneered, pacing alongside his truck.
âFuck off, you donât get to speak to my mother like that,â Channing growled, him and Aspen came up beside me. Eli stopped and was staring at my son. I knew what he was thinking as he watched me.
âWhat happened to wait until you found your mate?â He questioned, crossing his arms over his chest.
âI donât need to explain myself to you. And I wonât say that I regret it. He gave me Channing. But I understand that youâre hurt and Iâm sorry for that.â I told him.
âMom, who the hell is this guy?â
âChanning this is Eli. I grew up with him. His father was my fatherâs

beta.â I introduced them.
âI should go. Your mother will be in touch,â Eli announced, moving to open his truck door.
âEli, wait,â I reached out, grabbing his arm causing him to stop but he didnât turn around.
âIâm sorry that I hurt you. But Iâm not sorry for my son. He is the reason Iâm still alive. You have no idea how it was for me to believe everyone I loved was dead and I was the cause of it. Iâve missed you every damn day since.â He shook off my arm, got into his truck, and drove away. I watched as my heart twisted painfully in my chest.
