“Sorry, Mr. Stevens, I overheard you say you wanted a beating, so I had no choice but to help Allison do it for you,” Kellan explained as he stood beside Allison.

He wore a simple black blazer, with his suit casually slung over his arm. He looked both laid-back and stylish.

Though he had acted aggressively just moments earlier, now, as he adjusted the cufflinks on his wrist, he seemed unexpectedly polished. And when he smiled, his eyes remained cold and distant.

“After all, Allison’s hands are fragile. She has designs to finish later, and as her boyfriend, I’m here to help,” he added.

Allison couldn’t help but laugh at him.

She completely ignored Colton’s stunned look and walked past him, heading straight for Kellan. “Thanks for your help. I’ll treat you to a hand spa when we get back,” she said.

“Okay, Allison. I’m looking forward to it,” Kellan replied.

Colton stood there, speechless.

He was so angry that he almost wanted to laugh.

Watching them chat casually, while people around them whispered and pointed, made him feel humiliated.

Kellan was crushing his pride!

But Colton knew that he was in the wrong, and Fabian was close by. He had no choice but to hold back his frustration.

“Allison, I’m leaving now,” Colton said.

Before he turned to go, he shot a deliberate glance at Kellan.

“As I told you before, the past was my mistake, but if you’re willing, the Stevens family will always welcome you. And since you saved my life before, it shows you still care about me. Once I finish handling things, I’ll definitely come see you.”
