Chapter 1154:

“‘Now you get to experience the consequences.’”

Allison poured water into his mouth as she spoke.

With his jaw hanging loose, she squeezed Hoyt’s neck, forcing him to gulp down the drugged water. She was never one to play the hero.

Once she identified the culprit, she made sure they paid in kind. With another brutal “crack,” she snapped his jaw back into place.

“‘You… you’re a lunatic!’”

As Hoyt tried to spit the powder out, Allison shoved the rag back in. Next, she used more towels to bind his hands and feet, carelessly tossing him to the floor.

“‘It might take you a while to untie yourself, and the powder will start taking effect soon.’” Allison slapped his face lightly. “‘Hoyt, despite being an illegitimate child, you’re still a spoiled rich kid. This must be a new experience for you, huh?’”

Her words echoed what Hoyt had said outside the door earlier.

A growing sense of horror gripped Hoyt as he realized that Allison had been listening in and planning all along!

Even as an illegitimate child, Hoyt was a pampered rich kid. He had no chance of freeing himself in such a short time.

“‘Ugh, ah!’” All he could manage were low, angry whimpers, but Allison paid him no mind.

Meanwhile, voices echoed from outside.

Allison dragged him into the corner, then pulled out her phone, switching on the recorder as she leaned in.

Through the walls, she could hear Melany speaking with a man outside.

“‘Someone’s passed out in there. Don’t be surprised when you walk in — just do your job.’”

Melany wasn’t keen on getting any more involved.

But she still came by to give him a heads-up, just to be safe.

“‘When it’s over, Hoyt will pay you a big sum to get out of town. Got it?’”

The vagrant outside the door spoke hesitantly.

“‘Won’t I get arrested and end up in jail? I don’t want that.’”

“‘Relax, nothing’s going to happen to you. So just do what you’re told without any reservations.‘” Melany let out a cold snort. “‘Who knows, she might be more cooperative with you.’”

“Perfect, I like those soft, delicate rich women the most.” The vagrant ran his tongue over his parched lips.

He looked eager, his patience running thin. “‘I’ll head in now.’”

Melany gave a short “Mm,” then turned to issue orders to the others. “‘Everyone can leave with me now. Let’s bring the rest over to watch this.’”

She finished speaking, knocking on the lounge door. “‘We’re heading out first.’”

Inside, Allison was lost in thought.

The last sentence was clearly meant for Hoyt.

By this point, Hoyt had shifted from struggling to feeling a burning discomfort all over his body.
