Chapter 1174:

Her knees felt weak, as though they might give out at any moment. One thought dominated her mind — thankfully, Colton was absent and too preoccupied to witness this. She couldn’t afford for him to find out!

Just as she gritted her teeth, ready to strike back, Hoyt’s anger morphed into utter disbelief. “You traitor! How dare you stab me in the back!” Hoyt’s notorious short temper flared instantly.

Having already suffered enough humiliation today, Hoyt was livid upon realizing that Melany had turned on him.

How could he possibly face anyone after this? He even felt that his future might be ruined by this woman.

Hoyt didn’t waste a moment before launching into a fiery rant.

“Even if my invitation showed up in your messages, so what? You’re the one who agreed to this! You’re also the one who spread those rumors, making them show up here. I can’t match your level of spite!”

The fragile alliance between Melany and Hoyt began falling apart as they turned against each other.

The crowd watching wore expressions of disapproval. They had grown weary of the spectacle playing out before them. Fabian felt the same. His face grew colder and more severe with every passing second.

“Allan, make sure everyone in Ontdale knows the Dibya Group is cutting ties with these two. Have them removed from my banquet immediately!”

His declaration sent waves of shock through the room. It was obvious that Fabian’s anger had reached its peak.

Even Hoyt turned as pale as a ghost when he heard those words.

“No… Mr. Morgan, please, let me explain!” he begged.

The fear of being thrown out yet again gripped him, and he dropped to his knees in desperation.

“You gave your word to my father that I could stay at this banquet! You can’t break your promise!”

Hoyt’s mind raced with dread. If he was expelled a second time, the fallout would be far worse than before. He knew all too well what repeated mistakes could lead to — harsher punishments, just like in his childhood.

And now, if Brook and Nova learned he’d been humiliated in front of everyone for the second time, they might finally lose all their faith in him and abandon him for good.

The thought of being shut away and left to endure the pain of punishment sent chills through him.

Even though Nova was his birth mother, she could be merciless when her temper flared. He knew that there would be no forgiveness this time.

Despite Hoyt’s pleas, Fabian didn’t even glance in his direction.

“Allan, escort them out,” he ordered his secretary. “Whether the police get involved is not our problem.”

“Understood!” Allan responded briskly. He gestured to the bodyguards, who wasted no time grabbing Hoyt and Melany and dragging them toward the exit.
