Chapter 1196:

“This is key. Keep an eye on Hacker’s World. I’m going to find Kellan and discuss the next steps.”

“…Me?” Amya was slightly taken aback.

She didn’t think she was capable of stepping into Allison’s shoes.

Even more so, Hacker’s World was complex, and many people were vying for control. Amya felt that she wasn’t worthy of such responsibility.

Her eyes began to well up, and she felt a surge of unease.

“But Ms. Clarke, I’m still just a beginner, and I don’t—”

Before she could finish, Allison cut her off. “Amya, whether you’re a beginner or a veteran, I believe in your talent and abilities.”

Allison gave her a reassuring smile and continued, “Besides, you’ve been by my side through thick and thin. Don’t worry, I know you can handle it.”

Amya sniffled, wiping her eyes. “…Okay.” Her eyes began to tear up.

“Ms. Clarke, I won’t let you down!”

“Good, that’s the Amya I know and trust. From now on, please don’t call me Ms. Clarke. ‘Allison’ is okay. After all, I see you as my friend, not a subordinate.”

After handing over control of Hacker’s World, Allison made her way to Charisma Company.

Upon arriving at the company building, she heard someone shouting at the entrance. “Let me in! I need to see Kellan!”

Hoyt looked worse than ever, his face battered and bruised, as though he had been badly beaten.

A security guard stood in front of him, sternly replying, “Sorry, no entry without an appointment, especially if you’re not here on business.”

Hoyt let out a mocking sneer. “Do you even know who I am? Who gave you the right to speak to me like that? I suggest you think twice!” The security guard, however, was completely unmoved by his threats.

“Sorry, it’s company policy.”

The guard stood his ground, showing no sign of backing down.

This only fueled Hoyt’s anger.

After he was thrown out of the banquet hall, his father, Brook, had given him a harsh scolding.

To make things worse, his mother had also been cruel, berating him at every turn.

The thought of it only made his rage burn hotter.

“Fine. Just wait, you’ll regret this!”

Hoyt was about to act when a familiar female voice interrupted him from behind. “Where did this madman come from?” Allison squinted, looking him over from head to toe.

“Oh, it’s Hoyt. You’ve really been through it, huh? Looking for more trouble?”

Hoyt’s words froze in his throat as he turned around and saw Allison. He could clearly sense the threat in her voice.

“Allison…” He spat the name out through clenched teeth. “I came looking for you to settle the score.”
