Chapter 1197:

Ever since he was thrown out of Fabian’s birthday party, rumors about him had spread like wildfire through Ontdale.

Some speculated about Hoyt’s sexual orientation, others about his preferences, and some even wondered if it was due to a genetic issue in the family.

It was Brook who stepped in personally to put an end to the rumors.

“If it wasn’t for you, I wouldn’t have ended up in this situation!”

Hoyt balled his fists, gripping them tightly.

The memory of his previous encounter with that vagrant in Fabian’s lounge still filled him with revulsion. Things weren’t much better at home, either.

Brook wouldn’t let him leave the residence, and Nova, frustrated by his failure, made him kneel daily to study company documents until his knees throbbed.

Hoyt then told himself that it was all Allison and Kellan’s fault.

“You’re delusional. Everything that happened at the banquet was your own fault.” Allison eyed him and scoffed. “Weren’t you so proud of being the project manager? Now you’re here to discuss a collaboration with Charisma Company?”

Allison’s words dripped with sarcasm.

Kellan had replaced him as the project manager for the Lloyd family, and the entire project was being overhauled from the ground up. Because Hoyt had made a fool of himself this time, Brook was furious and stripped Hoyt of all his titles.

“You!”

Hoyt’s face turned livid with anger. He could no longer contain the rage that had been building up for days and wanted to lash out. “I’ll make you regret this!”

He lunged at her, trying to catch her off guard, but Allison effortlessly grabbed his wrist.

“Regret?” Allison let out a derisive laugh.

She slowly raised her gaze, filled with mockery. “Hoyt, have you forgotten how I tied you up last time? I think it’s you who will regret this.”

At this, Hoyt’s face drained of color.

He remembered it all too well.

The memory sent a chill down his spine.

Though the details were blurry, the sheer terror of being restrained by Allison was still vivid in his mind.

“L-let go!”

A wave of cold fear washed over him.

“If you do anything to me here, there will be a public outcry.” Allison chuckled at his threat.

“Fine, I’ll do as you ask.”

She let go of Hoyt’s wrist.

But as she released him, she applied extra force, causing Hoyt to tumble down the stairs.

Hoyt didn’t have time to react before he slammed into the ground.

He felt lightheaded.

“You… you…”
