Chapter 1199:

Allison burst into laughter at his words.

“Hoyt, weren’t you the one representing the Lloyd Group for this deal? Did you secure their cooperation?”

Hoyt’s face grew tense.

He was painfully aware that his misstep at Fabian’s birthday party had cost him the deal.

Yet, he refused to accept this reality.

“Aren’t you afraid of what Father will do when he finds out?” Hoyt gripped his wrist tightly.

The searing pain had him drenched in sweat, but his jealousy burned hotter, fueled by rage.

“Kellan, I’m warning you — hand the project back to me before Father loses his temper. If you don’t, I’ll make sure he hears every detail!”

To Kellan, Hoyt’s threats were laughable.

Standing casually beside Allison, Kellan maintained an air of indifference.

“Do you honestly believe he doesn’t already know?” Kellan spoke with deliberate calm, his words carrying a ruthless edge. “The partnership between Charisma Company and Fabian was never hidden. Even with limited information, Brook would’ve known about this ages ago. I assumed he’d inform you, but it looks like you’ve been cast aside and left completely in the dark.”

Hoyt froze in shock. “What are you trying to say?”

Kellan let out a derisive laugh, saying, “He’s known for a long time, but his hands were tied. Dibya Group has already chosen Charisma Company. Without transferring the project to me, the Lloyd Group would lose its chance to partner with Fabian.”

Kellan’s words were crystal clear, but Hoyt, though understanding, clung to his disbelief.

“That’s… impossible.” Hoyt’s expression turned grim. “I refuse to believe it.”

Taking a deep breath, he dialed Brook’s number.

Brook answered after a few rings, his voice bristling with impatience. “I’m busy. Say what you need to quickly.”

Since Hoyt became a laughingstock in Ontdale because of his fiasco at Fabian’s birthday party, Brook had come to see his son as a failure. During this period, Brook had shared in the humiliation brought on by Hoyt.

As a result, he had no interest in dealing with either Hoyt or Nova.

“Dad, did you really transfer the project to Charisma Company?” Hoyt noted the irritation in his father’s voice, but he persisted. Standing before Allison and Kellan only strengthened his resolve not to back down.

“You might not realize it, but Kellan has already cut the Lloyd Group out of the project. All our efforts have been wasted.”

What Hoyt didn’t expect was that his father, his impatience growing, snapped at him in response. “Of course, I approved it myself to secure the Lloyd family’s top position. On paper, the Lloyd family gains, and Charisma Company has always been seen as an extension of our family!”

Brook was utterly convinced that Hoyt was beyond hope.

While Brook couldn’t dictate Kellan’s actions, he acknowledged the immense benefits Kellan brought to the family.
