Chapter 1208:

Diamond Feather had been struggling with its reputation, tarnished by inconsistencies in the quality of its perfumers. Desperate for revival, the company was actively seeking collaborations with skilled perfumers—a fact not difficult to verify.

Minutes later, the secretary called back.

“Mr. Stevens, the information checks out. I’ve sent the details to your phone.”

After hanging up, Colton reviewed the report with precision.

Everything aligned with what Melany had said.

And the information was only known to a few. Diamond Feather’s current operations were exclusive to Vrining, and securing a deal with them could not only resolve financial issues but also elevate the Stevens Group’s standing in the market.

Melany caught a glimpse of the screen over Colton’s shoulder.

Satisfied that her information had been validated, Melany smiled faintly. “See, Colton? I told you I was right.”

Lindy’s patience was wearing thin. She was still waiting for Colton’s response.

“So? Is the information true or not?”

She didn’t want to believe Melany’s words anymore—until she saw Colton nod.

“As of now, the information seems reliable,” Colton said.

As it was good news, a rare softness crept into his tone as he addressed Melany. “You did well. I’ll have someone follow up. If it works out, it could save the company and make Grandpa happy.”

Melany let out a quiet sigh of relief, her eyes glistening as she said, “I ask for nothing more than to help.”

But deep down, her intentions were far from pure. She only wanted to see Allison suffer. If it weren’t for that bitch, she wouldn’t have been confined like a prisoner these past days!

Lindy was momentarily appeased by Colton’s words. “Then our business is saved!” she exclaimed, her relief palpable. She hadn’t expected Melany to be useful.

So Lindy gave Melany a way out. “Melany, I’m sorry for wronging you earlier. You know how much the previous false information has bothered me.”

“It’s okay. I don’t mind,” Melany replied with a practiced smile.

Of course, she knew that Lindy was just using her. But Melany saw this as a chance, a stepping stone.

“Colton, why don’t you let me go to Vrining with you?” Melany said, seemingly casually. “I’ve been there before, and I know a bit about the area. Plus, I have some knowledge about perfumery. I might be able to help with negotiations.”

Her demeanor was calculated, obedient, and almost self-sacrificing. She looked as if being with Colton would mean everything to her. Colton, though fully aware of her scheming nature, was pragmatic. In business, results mattered more than personal feelings.

After a moment’s pause, he answered with a nod. “Alright.” That single word was all Melany needed. Her lips curled into a triumphant smile.

“I’ll definitely do my best to help!”
