Chapter 1218:

She turned to Allison, her face apologetic. “I’m so sorry, Ms. Clarke. Everyone in the building knows you’re coming. It may cause a few hurdles during your visit. Please, forgive me. Yasha is no easy person to deal with.”

“It’s alright.” Allison gave a small nod, her tone reassuring. “There are always obstacles in business negotiations.”

Seizing the opportunity while Laila appeared guilty, Allison casually brought up a question.

“I noticed something earlier. No one seems to be wearing the white coats or lab uniforms I expected. But when I walked by earlier, I think…”

“I saw some women in white coats. Who were they?” Allison subtly brought up the clue about her mother.

“White coats?”

Laila frowned in confusion but quickly shook her head.

“I’ve never seen anyone wearing them. But each lab has its own dress code, so maybe someone walked out of the building in the white coat to do something and forgot to change.”

“I see.”

Allison nodded thoughtfully, though she wasn’t entirely convinced.

She felt something was off, but she couldn’t place her finger on it. Based on Lilian’s previous description, her mother had blended in with the staff at Aröme Tower for some reason.

But Allison couldn’t make sense of why her mother would choose to stay in Aröme Tower, especially if she were being targeted.

This was a place where countless people came and went every day. If she wasn’t careful, she could easily be discovered.

After Allison and Kellan stepped into the experimental area of Aröme Tower, Laila gave them a quick reminder, her tone calm but efficient. “Today, you’re free to access all the floors with your passes. Feel free to move around the tower. If you need anything, just contact me.”

“Okay, thank you.”

“You’re welcome.”

Laila gave them a nod before heading off to tackle her own work.

Allison scanned the expansive area.

“Kellan, this place is huge. Let’s split up and gather some intel on this floor.”

“Alright, but be careful.”

“You too.”

They each donned their passes and ventured in separate directions through the experimental area.

In a quiet corner, Allison discreetly pulled out her phone, her gaze fixed on Lilyana’s location. Their signals were overlapping at that moment.

It confirmed one thing — Lilyana was still inside Aröme Tower.

If she was here, there was still a chance to find her.
