Chapter 1232:

If it hadn’t been for this unexpected accident, she wouldn’t have passed the task onto them.

She laid out her instructions with care.

“It doesn’t matter if you don’t land the order; I can handle it after I’ve recovered. Just make sure you don’t offend him.”

Allison nodded thoughtfully and replied, “Understood.”

Though she hadn’t played golf in a few years, she was confident in her skills.

She quickly absorbed the details of the task.

Once they were clear on their objective, Allison and Kellan left the hospital room.

However, as they reached the hospital entrance, Colton caught up with them. “Allison, I need to talk to you.”

Allison cast him a blank look, unfazed. “We don’t have anything to discuss. Please don’t waste my time.”

She glanced at Melany from a distance. Melany appeared gentle on the surface, yet cold beneath.

Allison, with deliberate slowness, interlocked her fingers with Kellan’s. “You should head back. Don’t keep Miss Johnson waiting. Kellan and I have other matters to attend to.”

Kellan looked over at Colton, his expression relaxed yet piercing. “Mr. Stevens, you’re not suggesting that we hand the order to you, are you?” His words cut through the air with precision.

Colton’s pride took a hit, but he had indeed come with that very request in mind.

“This doesn’t concern you. I need to speak with Allison.” Colton reluctantly spoke again. “Allison, this perfume contract is crucial for the Stevens Group. Could you…”

But before he could finish, Allison had already opened the car door and slid inside.

Sitting in the passenger seat, she gave him a smile. “Mr. Stevens, you’re quite amusing. This order is important to all of us. Why would I give it to you?”

Kellan gripped the steering wheel with ease and chimed in, “Allison, it’s not entirely impossible. Maybe if someone begged on their knees, we’d consider whether or not to grant the order to them.”

“Kellan, what’s that supposed to mean?” Colton clenched his fist, his fury rising. “Don’t say things just to humiliate me!”

He couldn’t help but relive the previous humiliations. Each time he had to kneel and grovel, the shame was unbearable.

And Kellan — he always had a knack for toying with people.

Allison let out a soft chuckle, her tone dripping with amusement.

“Fine. Since you don’t want to take that route, let’s rely on our own abilities. Besides, you should’ve known from the moment you walked in here that this order is ours. If you’re confident enough, you don’t need to ask for our favor. Just compete with us, and let’s see who can secure this order.”

She then closed the car door with finality.
