Chapter 1234:
Yet, she still offered him a soft, reassuring smile.
âYouâre an excellent golfer, and Iâm fluent in Vesperan. Together, we can win the distributor over. So, donât be discouraged.â
Colton took a deep breath, the weight of their mission clear in his eyes.
âWe have to make this work.â
His fists clenched tightly, a promise made deep within.
When the time came, he would make Kellan regret ever crossing his path, especially in front of Allison. Heâd show her who the real man was.
When it came to golf, Colton was sure there were few who could match his skills.
âExactly. We must succeed.â
Melanyâs gaze narrowed as she stared at the road ahead.
The stakes for this deal were high, and she would stop at nothing to secure it.
Soon, they arrived at the Royal Golf Course.
Its grand gates commanded attention, but Melanyâs sharp eyes immediately caught sight of Allison and Kellan.
âHello, weâd like to enter.â Allison pulled out a check. âHow much is the entrance fee?â
The receptionist, however, shook his head.
âIâm sorry, but this golf course is for members only. You need a special VIP membership card to gain access.â
âAlright. How do we get one?â

âThe minimum requirement is seven hundred thousand in cash.â
At this moment, Melany walked forward with a sense of triumph.
âAllison, please let Colton and me head inside first.â
She flashed a smile and presented a membership card.
Lizzie had given them the card as a token of gratitude for their help in saving her life. She had heard that Colton enjoyed golf too, so she made sure to offer it as a gift.
Colton, too, approached Allison. He spoke directly in front of Kellan. âAllison, youâre welcome to join us inside. Itâs far too hot out here.â
He gave Kellan a blank look. âAs for you, Mr. Lloyd, Iâm afraid we canât bring you along.â
Colton had absolutely no intention of inviting Kellan. Even when they did nothing more than look at each other, the air was immediately charged with tension.
âThereâs no need to trouble you, Mr. Stevens. Itâs only seven hundred thousand â I can still afford that much,â Kellan said, raising an eyebrow sarcastically. âBesides, arenât you worried that Miss Johnson here would misunderstand and get jealous?â
He would be a fool not to notice the hostility thrumming in the air around Colton.
Kellan knew better than anyone that it wasnât worth spending seven hundred thousand on a golf course he would only visit once. He just never expected Colton to try to steal his woman so blatantly, and right in front of Melany, too.
