Chapter 1238:

If he could, he would have slapped himself. He had let his prejudice cloud his judgment and had nearly offended a black card holder.

If Allison, given her status at the golf club, decided to file a complaint about him to his manager, the consequences would be disastrous.

“No need. I’m in a rush right now. I don’t need any unnecessary services— I can handle it myself,” Allison said, glancing at her wristwatch.

Then, she intertwined her fingers with Kellan’s. “Let’s go in now.” Despite the delay, the distributor and his team should still be there.

Melany stared at Allison, her expression frozen in sheer disbelief. “How is this possible?”

She had always suspected that Allison was hiding something, that she was never as meek and submissive as she had once appeared.

But this? This was beyond anything Melany could have imagined. Allison had wielded power for years, had been a prestigious member of the Royal Golf Club all along?

Had she been a fool back then? Why else would she have married Colton, who was practically bankrupt at the time?

The more Melany thought about it, the more her anger coiled inside her like a venomous snake.

There was no way Allison had climbed so high on her own. She had been too young at the time. Someone must have been backing her—perhaps some wealthy old man.

Even Colton was momentarily dumbfounded.

“Allison, when did you get this black card?”

He couldn’t comprehend it. For three years, he had watched Allison lower herself, suffer in the Stevens household without a word of complaint.

Yet, he had treated her as if she meant nothing. Over and over, he had tormented her.

He had let go of someone truly invaluable. But now, it was too late for regret.

“Mr. Stevens, this no longer concerns you.”

Allison didn’t spare him a glance. Instead, she turned to the receptionist, her voice calm and composed. “May we enter now?”

“Of course!” The receptionist activated the system, offering a polite nod. “Please place your finger on the scanner for verification.”

Allison pressed her fingertip against the machine, and in an instant, a golden light flickered, confirming her access.

A screen displayed a detailed list of the exclusive services available to her.

Melany’s gaze locked onto it, unable to look away. This was the highest tier of the black card membership.

It granted Allison unrestricted access to the entire golf course. If she wished, she could reserve the entire venue solely for herself. As Melany watched Allison and Kellan move forward, side by side, she realized there was no time to waste.

“Colton, we need to move quickly.”

Melany snapped back to reality, remembering why they had come in the first place. If they were too slow, securing the order would become much more difficult.
