Chapter 1248:

But now, seeing how Kellan treated her, Colton realized that Allison wasn’t always so strong. Sometimes, she needed someone by her side. It was just that Colton had always chosen to ignore the softer side of her.

“Mr. Stevens, Miss Johnson is right,” Allison said, her tone flat. “I haven’t played golf in a long time.” Her expression remained unchanged. “But I’m still confident I can beat Mr. Norwood. I won’t get hurt again this time.”

Her words only made the crowd laugh.

“Ms. Clarke, it’s not just about wrist strength. You need speed and technique to play golf,” someone pointed out.

“Mr. Norwood once completed twenty holes with no more than sixty strokes! Can you do that?” another added.

“Exactly. He even set the record for the longest drive in Vrining!” someone else chimed in.

Melany was even more shocked after hearing this.

She had been boasting when she said Geltay could finish a game within a hundred strokes. She had assumed that Geltay didn’t have time to practice golf every day. But now, she realized he was an expert who could easily finish with under sixty strokes.

Colton’s face darkened at the comparison.

Colton often played golf, but he could barely manage to finish a game within ninety strokes. He had never imagined that someone like Geltay, who seemed lazy and arrogant, was actually a golf enthusiast. Allison, however, remained completely unfazed.

“How funny! My latest record is fifty strokes, just a little behind Mr. Norwood’s,” she said casually.

Geltay, who hadn’t paid much attention to Allison until now, shot her a look of disdain.

“Be careful with your words,” he warned sharply.

He couldn’t stand people who dared to challenge him at golf. And this woman? She was crossing his line, over and over again.

“You’re really daring, aren’t you? Well, I’ve got an idea,” Geltay said with a cold smile.

Geltay picked up his golf club and walked over with a sinister expression.

“The game needs to have some stakes,” he added, his voice laced with challenge.

Allison could tell that he’d taken the bait.

The match was definitely on now.

She knew that he was driven by pride and competitiveness, and that was exactly what she wanted.

Geltay fixed his gaze on Allison and said, “If you lose, you’ll have to give me one of your hands. And I’ll make sure it’s cut off.”

Allison slightly widened her eyes as she fixed her gaze on him. “So, you’re actually agreeing to the bet I proposed earlier?”

“Of course,” Geltay sneered, his lips curling into an arrogant smile. “If you somehow pull it off, not only will I apologize to Ontdale, but I’ll also do business with you. Hell, I’ll even kneel and see you as my boss.” Laughter erupted around him. It was clear they all thought it was impossible.
