Chapter 1263:
With no other choice, he grit his teeth and dialed the mayorâs private phone number. âMayor Lewis, itâs Drucker.â
The room fell into an eerie silence. No one so much as breathed.
Allisonâs lips curled into a knowing smile. âMr. Foster, be a dear and put it on speaker. We have quite a bit to say to the mayor ourselves.â
âSure, but youâll regret this.â Without hesitation, Drucker switched to speakerphone. âMayor Lewis, the Dibya Group has brought in two nobodies out of nowhere, and theyâre openly defying your orders.â
On the other end, Milady sounded impatient. âWhat are you rambling about? Get to the point.â
âIâm sayingââ
Before Drucker could twist the narrative in his favor, Allisonâs voice cut through. âMayor Lewis, this is Allison, executive of Aröme Tower.â Her voice carried both grace and authority.
âToday, Mr. Foster barged into Aröme Tower unannounced, throwing around baseless accusations. He even attempted to detain innocent perfumers working here, claiming it was under your direct orders. Is that true?â
As she spoke, she raised her phone, recording the conversation. Others quickly followed suit, their cameras capturing every moment. This evidence would be invaluable.
Druckerâs face darkened. âThatâs nonsense! I never said that!â Allisonâs smile only deepened.
âThen, Mayor Lewis, are you aware of todayâs so-called âinspectionâ at Aröme Tower?â
Her question was a trap, baiting both Drucker and the mayor. Drucker had counted on the mayor to intimidate them, but instead, he was the one being backed into a corner.

Milady, no fool himself, immediately caught on. But he wouldnât fall for it so easily. Instead, he let out a short laugh, his tone dripping with condescension.
âMiss, if you truly are the executive of Aröme Tower, I suggest you fetch the president of your company. Have him speak to me directly.â His tone exuded arrogance.
It was a blatant dismissal, a clear sign that he didnât consider her worth his time.
Allison, unfazed, let out a soft scoff.
âOf course. My rank is beneath yours, and in ordinary circumstances, I wouldnât have the honor of speaking with you directly. But since Mr. Foster decided to invoke your name â going so far as to claim youâd personally sign a lockdown order to shut down Aröme Tower. Therefore, I must ask: what exactly is your relationship with Mr. Foster? Since when does he have the authority to order you around?â She sounded innocent, but the accusation was unmistakable.
A bead of sweat rolled down Druckerâs temple. Too many eyes were on him. He couldnât outright deny her claim, so he tried to backpedal.
âMayor Lewis, I did mention it, but thatâs not how I meant it. I was only sayingââ
But before he could finish, Milady cut him off. âNonsense!â
The mayorâs eyes narrowed, his mind working quickly. Soon, he pieced the situation together. Drucker had blundered, drawing unwanted attention to something that should have remained behind closed doors. And now, this fool was expecting him to clean up his mess!
