Chapter 1265:
Druckerâs face turned pale. His grip tightened on his phone as disbelief washed over him.
âMayor Lewis, this is all a misunderstanding! You canât fire me! Iâve worked hard for you all these yearsââ
Milady cut him off, warning, âEnough. This is the price you have to pay. From now on, you are not to set foot in Vrining again.â
Druckerâs knees nearly gave out. He understood all too well â he was a pawn being discarded.
Speaking to Fabian, Milady said, âMr. Morgan, I trust this wonât affect Dibya Groupâs relationship with the government?â
Fabianâs expression remained unreadable. âAs long as the authorities enforce the law fairly, there wonât be an issue.â
Their exchange was laced with unspoken meaning, a quiet battle of words.
âI promise,â Milady replied.
He ended the call and pressed the internal line. âCome in.â
The secretary entered promptly. âMayor Lewis.â
âLook into the new perfume specialists at Aröme Tower. Also, give Drucker a payout to keep him quiet.â Miladyâs expression darkened as he ordered, âIf he talks, take care of it.â
âUnderstood.â The secretary hesitated. âShould we still move forward with the acquisition of Aröme Tower?â
âPut it on hold,â Milady said, glancing at his phone. âAt least until we finish investigating that new perfume specialist.â

âUnderstood.â The secretary nodded and then placed an envelope on the desk. âOne more thing â our people delivered this. The person you were looking for has been found.â Miladyâs expression shifted.
He opened the envelope and pulled out several photos. The images showed a woman in a white lab coat entering Aröme Tower. Her features were slightly blurred, but even so, her beauty was unmistakable. If Allison were here, she would recognize the woman immediately â her mother, Lilyana, the person she had been searching for all this time.
âChange of plans.â Milady tapped the photo with his finger.
A cold look flickered in his eyes. âSheâs my biggest obstacle. Deal with her first.â
The secretary hesitated. âBut sheâs inside Aröme Tower. If we act too soon, we risk alerting Fabian.â
âAlert Fabian?â Milady let out a low chuckle. âThen deal with him, too.â He picked up a pen, scrawled down a number on a slip of paper, and slid it across the desk. âCall this number. Send him these photos.â Milady narrowed his eyes, a cold glint of murder flickering within them. âTell him I want Fabian and this woman dead. Tonight.â He had waited too long to let Lilyana slip away now.
âUnderstood,â the secretary replied.
At Aröme Tower, after Drucker fled in disarray with his men, all the police cordons were removed.
